You can go at least one inch lower before scraping really becomes an issue...
Any lower than 2 inch clearance though, and you must be really hardcore, like Sean and the other guys. I know that for me, 2 inches is the lowest I would go on a car like this.

Apart from that, the car looks mighty fine, I really have a soft sport for white E36 sedans. One thing I'd def. do is black out the mouldings and bumpers and skirts, the grey they are currently just isn't enough contrast. Make them a proper black and that will look really good. Oh, and please don't mount the M-package.
Sean haz 2inches? from which point? bumper? sideskirt? frame?

OK, I promise to do it but when I get tires with less 'wall.

You are more than likely right about 2 inches being more than enough clearance, but honestly with tires this thick, I wouldn't be able to turn long before I got that low.

On a related note, we have a 3 inch curb at the end of the driveway, and the flaps on the bumper scrape it when parking.

^He's right.. haha. Just do it. Get some smaller tires. I wouldn't try stretching and poking on racelands though.

I'd love to, but I'm afraid I have to actually drive places. I have about 3 inches from the frame to the ground.

I have another inch I could go down in the front and about .75 in the back if I take the perches out, but I don't think I could turn; it already barely misses the arch.

    A very slow bmw

I know, I know, it needs stretch and poke, but until I wear these tires down, there isn't even a chance it's gonna happen. Anyway, tell me what you think:
