Hi All,
One of my project cars is a 69 Benz 300sel 6.3 (W109).
It has, among other things, that weird early Benz factory airbags setup.
The factory system has;
It gets complicated because it recycles high pressure to the bags, and medium pressure between the bags, as well as back to the air compressor....
After avoiding modern airbaggery for a long time, I've suddenly realised some opportunity to mix the best of both worlds.....
Would it be possible to retain the four factory bags, add modern electric level arms, using a rear mounted electric compressor, into a pair of factory air tanks (just coz I've already got them), all controlled by something like an AccuAir e-level setup???
Even better...if someone has already done this (W109....NOT W108) ......please show me the way to Valhalla...

The factory system has;
- Engine driven air compressor
- air tank under front fender
- feed to two position 'Main' air control valve
- Two front car height level arms, on inlet/exhaust valves
- one rear car height level arm, midway across a 'stabilizer bar'
- airbags at all four corners
