In here I tought it is done, but after 1! day hapiness, this just happened:











I hit a car. The other car's driver didn't look in every directions and came out in front of me to the road. I was close to him and couldn't brake enough to stop.

It was in the middle of the summer. I didn't want to strip and rebuild it, I wanted to drive and rebuild it later, fe. when the weather goes wrong. So temporarily I installed the donor car's hood, right fender, bumper, lights, grills.

It looked like this for some months:



September, 2014

I found a set of my dream wheels. I had to bought them.

These are Oz Futura wheels with 5x120 Bmw fitment.
Specs:
8.5x17 ET13
10x17 ET19

I installed the old tyres (205/40, 205/45), so there became a bit more tyre stretch.

February, 2014

I bought 2 front seats from an E34 M5.



March, 2014

In the end of March we went to our 2nd car show. It was the AMTS again, just like in 2013.









After the AMTS I started the rebuilt the 2.8. It needed to rebuild the cylinder head.















The engine was done. And yes, the donor car become red too. It was a cheap project and the color isn't the same.

I got a cracked M5 front valance, so I had to repair this before installing.

Test fit:



And its done:



It was very dirty here :/



After that I installed Powerflex bushings into the front suspension.

I haven't got pic of the front brakes but they were changed too. The original brake disc was un-ventilated, 284x12mm sized. The new ones are ventilated from an E32 with calipers. New disc's size is 302x22mm

I installed 15mm spacers all around and the whole car gone a bit lower.







Some days later I bought my 3rd E28. It gives the new engine and driveline to my project. A stock 528i with M30B28 and LSD.

September, 2013

I bought a complete rear suspension with disc brakes. My original rear suspension had drum brakes.
I fully rebuilt it. Painted black, custom made poly bushings, new pitman arms, wheel bearings, brake disc and pads. So everything was changed to new.

February, 2013

The car was done, but it was stock. So I started to build a custom coilover and in the same time I get a set of Style 21 wheels.

The front coilovers with custom made 2D top mounts:


I Installed them:




The wheels:
Bmw Style 21, E34 M5 wheels: 8x17" and 9x17", offset 20 and 22. I really liked Austin's Red Rocket with the white wheels. I decided to build the same setup, so the wheels were powdercoated into white.









The first drive whit the new wheels. The tyres are 205/40 in the front and 205/45 in the rear wheels.







I built new headlights with custom black hella style crosshairs.





March, 2013

In the end of march we were in our first car show. The AMTS in Budapest, Hungary.

I stripped the parts car and from its left side I build a Rusty style decoration what is inside the garage now.

The e28 arrived home. The new color is Zinnober rot. The color code is 138. It's an original e28 color.

7. October. 2011

I bought the 2nd e28.
There was no engine and it was in really bad condition, every metal piece was rusted, but had a good interior, light etc.

The green's body started to reborn:

The bodywork's done. The car arrived home.

The day when I bought my first car. Originally it was Achatgrün Metallic with green interior and the stock M10B18 engine.













The transmission's mount was broken.





I drove for about 1 or 2 months and I started to disassembly the whole car.

i'm Dani from Hungary. I will show you, how I rebuilt my e28. Everything started in summer of 2011, when I bought it.

It's a 1986 518i. it was cheap, but it was in very sh*t condition.
