Installed the Eonon head unit a few days ago. First impressions are only positive, especially for the price. Sounds good and easy to use.

    Mic installed:

Dab+ antenna as hidden as it could get

After locking my keys in the trunk twice I ordered the trunk switch and wiring. (No switch on the CSL trunk)

Front struts arrived. Longer piston than stock with 16k springs and helper springs. Air cups are from stanceparts.com. This gives me 50mm lift on the fly.

    With Electronic Damper Control installed

    The result

    First test
First test of the air cups on my E46 M3. 50mm lift when needed.

OEM CSL lid does not have a tool box inside, so I had to modify the lid to fit mine as I want to keep it.

I chose to use OEM E90 LED license plate lights (aftermarket bulbs are way too bright).

When I painted the lower part of the steering wheel the "M" sticker did not survive, Finally got a new one. Black steering wheel looks way better than half black/grey.

Gave the car a long awaited wash and took a few pictures. Love the blue paint!

Will post some info when I get home from work and get to try it out.

Still waiting for my lips to arrive from Ewheelworks. Hopefully I'll get them soon.

Almost forgot I had the Hartges... Had to do a test fit.

I like them, but I would like some wider lips and Sandwich mount the centers like this guy has done..

During this year the FM broadcasting will shut down here in Norway, so I have to use the DAB+ unit, which should increase sound quality.

As for the handsfree I suppose the mic location could matter, and also the mic is replacable if it's crap.

Every aftermarket unit I've found claim to be the best one out there, so it's hard to choose between them. this unit is half the price of ones I find local here in Norway so I'll give it a shot..

Me too, hopefully they will arrive soon.

Time for an update. I got a Focal front speaker set form my gf this christmas and a few days later i started installing them. I was a little unsure if I should connect the crossover to the tweeter/midrange or the woofers in the doors so I started googling. And it seems the Harman Kardon ampl does not like aftermarket speakers ( think the speaker differs from 2,3 and 4 ohm). Sooo, I had to do a little more shopping. Here is the list:

    - Focal PS 130F (front)
    - Focal PS 165F (rear)
    - Polk Audio DB692 (as subwoofers)
    - Alpine PDR-V75 5-channel amplifier
    - Cables, fuses etc.
    - Eonon 6150 head unit

I didn't take many pictures as most of these are rather boring, but here are a few. As usual I try to make everything look OEM and clean.

Bought "blanking plates" from CSL to have a clean start for the tweeters. Cut a hole and glued the tweeters into it.

Front speakers and adaptor rings installed. Also a little insulation to prevent vibrations.

Wrapped the door trim when the door cards were removed. Not sure if I really like the brushed alu. Might change to gloss black later.

Polk DB692 vs original. Chose these due to magnet size and they go down to 30hz. I know a subwoofer alone would be better, but I just want clearer nicer sound and not playing very loud.

Forgot pictures of the rear speaker but they were a pain in the ass to install. 6,5" spakers barely fit. Barely. New speaker wires and signal cables were also run.

Prepared everything for the air cups while waiting for the new front struts.

New frame for the Eonon head unit, USB for charging my phone and switch for the air cups.

    Compressor, relay and gauge installed.

Made a frame for the amp and the air cups switch, with insulation underneath.

    The result:

Hoses are run to the front wheel wells so I'm ready for the new front struts to arrive.
