yeah, i thought about it. couldnt find a decent set, that werent wayyyy too expensive. and mk2 recaros are my fave seats. I also get parts that make me tell myself im doing something "different" or unique. either reason, im stoked theyre in and couldnt be happier how they feel to ride in.

Understandable for sure. Occasionally a b5 s4 interior can pop on eBay for a reasonable price I saw an all black leather set for 800 shipped in good condition. But, its really hard to beat the OEM comfortability of mk2 recaros the seat back bolsters are perfect.

I look forward to seeing them refinished

Also interesting move to go with mk2 recaros having both a b5 s4 and a had a mk2 with the same recaros. I can't help but think they look small in there. You weren't interested in doing s4 front seats? A silver alcantera set would look great in there.

so, some updates. Now that we're getting near the end of winter, decided to start pulling the trigger on some plans.

As a lot of you know, stock B5 seats are not the best, and the drivers side always split. So i picked up some mk2 recaros and had a friend fab them to fit. He had to move the center guide rail over about 2 inches, and bring the rear legs down about the same amount.





The car will be headed to the upholstery shop in the next two weeks to get them and the rears re done to match.

Im going for a grey tweed like finish.



Also, picked up some wheels from Trevor (harlerocco).
18x9 square Lm's, 5x114 unfortunately. I'll just run wobble bolts though.

Theres mainly been a lot of maintenance work latey, new clutch, rebuilt front suspension kit, exhaust work and normal boring stuff. more updates very soon! thanks!

I don't know much about detailing... what were you steps for the rear bumper? Some loser keyed my car recently and I'm going to try to clean it up before I resort to paint. Or did you paint it?

Painted it! Tried to detail and restore it a bit, but the gouges were just too deep to fix.

The rear bumper was pretty scuffed up from normal wear and tear I'm guessing. So I fixed that.

been a while. Finally got the cosmis wheels on yesterday, and got a real camera.

Always love a color matched tail light. So I found some, in Irish eBay. Had to ship them to a friend in Netherlands, then he sent em out to me. Also, put my front coils on, have to wait on the rears. The shock housing/brackets are beyond rusted. So waiting for my replacements to get here.

Nothing too exciting. Gotta still run new wires for the rear speakers, anyone with a b5 a4 will know the annoyance of Audi using seperate amps for just the two rear speakers. But I finally have a stereo I can work with. Coils will be on tomorrow and exhaust is being made now. Then to strip the interior, and run all the wiring for my sub/trunk setup.
