Well, I've had time to upload my other photo because this time I used another camera, wich means if I kick my ass I should get some real shot this weekend. Before I fixed my led lights I did a little maintenance, I changed the oil housing gasket.

It was fairly easy, supposed to be a 2-3 hours job took me 1 hour or so. It was quick because I had watch a few videos, knew what trouble to expect so I realy was well prepared, and the neat factory airbox is replaced by a very cool and trendy hot air intake thanks to the PO.

My engine bay goes like this, this is the first pic I think in this thread and you'll see why.

So job goes like this, Remove radiator fan, remove accesory belt, alternator, unbolt oil housing (all 6 bolts are different size so be carefull to keep the order) change gasket.I'm left with this.

Yeah, I swear I wasent leaking oil.

No, there is not supposed to be any oil on the block. Anyways, when I took out the old gasket it was still surprisingly smooth and flexible. Didint seem and cracked and brittle like most I saw in vids. Not sure why it was leaking but oh well I just hope it's fixed now. I'm not sure how to tell I would need to clean the block LOL not sure this is ever happening.

Lets do a little throwback to remember where we came from.

And further back (lololol my old civic)

    That is all

Wow! Reading this made my day! Thanks!

Onto a little teaser update.. I FINALY got my led ring to work properly... These are not your typical white led. I used my bad cellphone cam but you can see the party going on in there lolll (sorry you'll have to click on it, I can't find a way to link it directly with photobucket. Help?)

I will try to get a video of all the shit those leds can do. Best 35$ I've ever spent on my car hahaha. I'll get a video at night and try to get some better recorder than my potato.

Also, the receptionist here, where I am temporarly working, came in my office as I was chatting with the other new guy and asked who the BMW in the parking lot belonged to. I said it's mine and she told me it was ugly as f*** and started to laugh and we all laugh and it was fun. That is all.

OK after spending all day looking at other peoples build it's time to uptade mine!

UPDATE TIME!!! a little one though.

Soooooo I had this ugly tear on my drive seat I wanted to take car of for a while

A keen eye will have already noticed the 2 first eyelet in the seats. You see where this is going. This REALY was an under 10 min ghetto fix, as I've been blamed of doing

(sorry for blurry pic, did not realised it until I uploaded it.)

Off course I had to pick the brightess and wildest of all the colors available. It's ice skating lace since I neede a realy long lace and I wanted it big and bold. The color choices were somewhat limited. Oh well I can always change it later if I'm ever tired of the hot pink.

I also put a pink cloth under the crak first, so when you look through the eyelets you won't see the ugly white foam.

I like the result, cheap and quick fix overall and add some interior touch. Thats it for now.

I spent way enough time on it, thanks. Those half-ass job as you call them probably takes way longuer than the "right way". After all, I cut my rear bumber in 3 pieces and sew it with metal just for the sake of it. I don't want to assume you've never worked on yours, as I have no idea. But any DIYer and wrencher will know the amount of time into this build. Yes I said build. Because there is no other way to call it. There is plenty of build on stock engine.

No I havent swapped the engine, there is a reason for that. I don't have the time or the space to do that just yet but it's something that eventualy I would realy like to do. I have a few wild ideas in mind but the thing is, I want to move out of the country in the next or so year so I'm not sure it would be worth all the work and money just to sell it. So for now, stock engine it is.
