    Hey guys,

I'm Logan, been a long time lurker on Stance works and figured I'd start a build thread to keep track of progress. I'm an apprentice mechanic in BC, Canada and I own a bunch of air cooled VW's but recently picked up an 1986 BMW L7 for a daily.

Sorry ahead of time for the high quality iphone 4 photography

When I first got to the sellers house I walked up the drive to see this and instantly fell in love. After a quick test run and some bartering I bought it, and set off for the 150km drive home.

After a smooth drive home with zero issues I began to clean it up by repainting the trim and giving it a good wash.

Sitting 100% stock on TRX wheels with badly cracked tires.

First priority was getting decent oem wheels so I could get new tires. (TRX wheels which came stock on some BMW's require special tires which are like $500 each...)

Found some bottle caps for $100 in good shape

Found a local E23 parts car and got the early chrome mirrors, new factory amp, full bmw tool kit, spare set of tails to tint red and some other little bits.

5 light coats of VHT red tint and a few coats of clear coat later.

It stayed like that over the winter as I gathered a few parts for it.
    -Amber high beams
-"Custom" front lip (MK3 jetta lip cut up)
    -1 piece 15" style 5's
-All the tune up parts I needed, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air and fuel filters.

Friday night I decided to stay late after work and get it all done, bought some 185/60/15's off my boss for $10 and yolo'd it..

A few hours later I had 2 coils cut in the front and 3 in the back

Need some better pics and the front end needs to come down another inch or 2.
Working...
