Z's are so beautiful in my oninion. That ass shot is money. Sometimes you sacrifice car for mods, Sometimes you get a better car and a loan from Mom and Pop(I almost did the same thing with) for mods. Instead I got a Civic for $1300.

No real progress, just been saving up money for parts and what not. Bad news is that today I started getting a grinding noise coming from my right rear wheel, I believe its the brake rotor. Getting it checked out tomorrow.

On an non build related note I shot some photos for a friend who owns a 1973 260z

The car is actually in 100% ownership of my parents, they did some sort of personal line of credit, so the car is paid off from the bank, but I owe their line of credit money if that make sense. Thanks for the input guys

Hey I saw this in the intro section. Glad you started a build thread for it.

Also i agree with everyone on the XXRS. save up and get some baller ass wheels.

ALSO (last one i promise): HUGE yes on the Rocket Bunny kit.

please don't do reps. every one just wants to have their shit done so they cheap out and buy reps just so they can look cool.

be a grown up, save up, be patient, and buy real wheels. instead of buying new reps, then having to deal with taking a loss when you go to sell them.

The vq is plenty with some boost and a tune. My friend made 650 at the trans. with a supercharger and a descent daily tune

Hahaha you waited for a car with potential. You crack me up.

Screw the xxr's and save that money for some used real wheels. The vq35de can handle 350ish at the wheels and still have almost stock reliability with regular maintenance and a good tune. That's enough to kill a modded coyote stang. It may not sound like much, but today's car scene is all about unusable large horsepower claims and dyno queens that will never see the street.

The 2j and the lsx engines are a gimmick when it comes the a car for the street.

I'm picking up a set of 18x10 XXR 521's and a decent set of coilovers, not sure what brand yet. I've planned out the build in four stages:

Stage 1 - Get Nikki on the ground with a good set of coilovers and cheap reps until I pay off the car.
Stage 2 - Buy a set of real wheels, more aggressive offset
Stage 3 - Rocket Bunny kit (for scene points, of course)
Stage 4 - Forced induction or motor swap, probably LS or 2JZ
