started a topic Wide and australian

    Wide and australian

    Hey guys
love the forum long time reader first time poster
this is the build of my
    custom widebody hsv maloo r8
    6.2l V8
kind of like the american pontiac g8
    but a ute

engine work prior to the body work being done was
    - Stage 5 cam package
    - 3" headers , 100 cell cats , 3" straight cat back
    - under driven pulley
    - Dyno - 320 rwkw or roughly 450rwhp

well enough of that lets get to the stance
    Wheels:
stock offset for the wheels on the stock body is something like +48
    lol
new wheels that were picked up that we had to fit under the guards were
    20" SSR sp1 proffessors
    -satin black centre
    -gloss black lip
    -chrome rivets

    wheel specs:
    front : 20x9.5 -20
    rear : 20x10.5 - 20

    suspension:
now while i love having a static car after all the body work going into the car
i wanted something that would help me from ripping/ scratching front bars etc

so i went with a front and rear AIRREX air management system which is hidden under the tray liner in the tub

so after all that here are the pics of the build was a long build and patience started to wear thin but after all it was "finished" it was worth it

body work by Bodyform Motorsports in AUS
    thanks - matt
    instagram - @gottabemat

    -before body work complete
    cheap wheels
    and lowered springs
    gay

-first time seeing the SSR after being freshly painted and re assembled @ the body shop

-Dropping her off at the body shop said my goodbyes

-how the rear wheels fit against the stock body before the overfenders go on

    - Front quater panels removed after new wheels fitted

-Custom front quater panels welded and installed
now for front bar attatchments and rear flares to be made

-while body work was being completed i was off spending even more money

-Once the airbags arrived i had the car towed to get the airbags install so that the fenders can be moulded to fit once aired out

    - first test of airrex aired out front , bit of trimming needed on front quater panel to get more low !

-Dynamat on dynamat on dynamat **** the sound of compressors

-Towed the car back to the body shop after installation and we are low things started to look exciting from here !

-couple of weeks past and we had the rear overfenders starting to take shape
being made out of fibreglass ( for now )

    - another update on the rear flares

    - Now we have the front bar extensions being shaped up
the skill needed is crazy time extensive and patience

    - bar extensions glassed and bogged

    - Rear flared over stock wheels lol , looking big !

-more shaping on the rear fenders before they get sent to paint

    - The car was towed to the paint shop just before christmas break
to repaint whole front end and blend in for knew fenders,
one week after christmas the car arrived back at the body shop now time to fit it up

    - while the car was being put together i went away for a week on holidays got the message from the body shop while i was away that it is ready best day of my life ,
once i got back straight for allignment and toe adjustment

    - And here is the end result thank you for looking and dealing with all the photos
