I mounted my tires on Friday, and yes I mounted two of them the wrong direction.:banghead: I will fix that next week. I threw on my studs and spacers to test fit the wheels.
I also put my steering spacer on and torqued down all of the steering components. I did have to grind out a little material on the top joint to keep everything smooth.
Great idea this spacer ! Have you test it ? I think i will do the same, i don't need wisefab but a little bit more angle is appreciable.
What do you think about the max size of this spacer ?
Thanks but it was not my idea. I actually bought them. I think the max size is 5mm for the spacer. From what I have read any wider and you do not have a safe amount of threads left. I have not tested them. If you search "e30 rack spacers" you will find some for sale.

I got my tubing bender stand built today. Here it is tacked together before any gussets were added.
Here it is complete. There is no reason for the front of the mounting plate to be bent down. That was a scrap piece and I decided to leave the bend. It actually makes a nice place to grab when carrying it.
I also picked up this used front facia. In the pic it is just haning on the bumper shocks, but you get the idea.
wait I remember seeing that Volvo for sale. I think it sold to someone in Detroit? if I'm not mistaken. are you from MI? also rad build always wanted an e30.(still do)
Yeah the Volvo went to the Detroit area. I am in Columbus OH.

Not much done to the car, but I did get out in the garage today. I got to play with my new saw. It is an evolution rage 3. It cold cuts steel very well especially for the price. Check them out.
I made this plate for my vise.
Then made this portable stand.
Here is the plate my friend made for the steering shaft. Turned out nice. I need to get it put on.
I did test fit my new wheels. I know why does the car need new wheels when it doesn't have an engine? The wheels are 17x9 et25. The rear has 11mm of clearance and the fronts are contacting the strut. I am thinking of running 20mm spacers all around. I know this will require fender modification, but will it be enough clearance up front? The spacers will put the wheels at et5. Thoughts?
