Giving this R33 a second chance!

LATEST PHOTO AND HOONAGE ON PAGE 3

Hola, some of y'all may remember me from a few of my other "builds":
    My DSM

    My S10

Took a break from the low life for a bit...

Well almost a year ago I joined the US Air Force and I'm now stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Before I arrived on island I started looking at what cars were available here and I decided on getting a R33. I spent a few weeks looking for the right one and eventually found one for $2k. The body was missing a few trim pieces, had a smashed in hood and it had a few mechanical querks but nothing a little bit of TLC couldn't fix. I purchased the car and over the past 3 months have been attempting to give it a second chance after having a few neglectful owners. It's a 96 GTS25T w/ 5 speed and RB25DET
    How I got her

First on the list was getting the mechanical things worked out, a new caliper, resurfaced rotors and cleaning the IAC assembly got her running like she should again. Next came some upgrades, I picked up a set of Cusco Zero2s, a HKS pod filter, a HKS hi-power cat back and a blitz SS BOV. I also picked up a new hood, nismo lip and side skirt to complete the body, as well as some beater 18s for burners.

After some searching I found a set of wheels I really like, they're staggered 18" BIM zeit's.

I cranked down the coilovers to dial in the ride height. She also got a complete kendwood system(headunit, doors/rear deck and a 10" sub") and I picked up an apexi downpipe, decat and a FMIC, then sent this ugly duckling off to paint.

I also got my US spec Rebel bobber project registered here in Japan so I've been riding that while the skyline is at the body shop.

Here she is! The color is KL0 from a 32 GTR and I couldn't be happier! The fenders we're also rolled and spacers are on there way, so she'll be fitted soon!

A boost controller is also on the way to up the boost a bit and then it will be interior time. Next on the list is a pair of red Recaro SR3s and a decent bolt-in or fabricated cage. She's not the cleanest, or the fastest, or the lowest/most fitted but she started off as a rough, neglected project and in my opinion, is becoming something beautiful.
