Little update spam, but yolo.
So quick update. I feel so bad that I haven't been taking pictures as a photographer haha, but I just wanna see this thing done!
SHE'S IN!!!! Could not have done it with my buddy Joe!

Quick updates, I've been busy working and not taking pictures (odd because that's what I go to school for...)
Making friends do grunt work! (Rack swapping)

New water pump on the daily! (bleh, only took 45 minutes though)

#bae #h20iprep #stancetomakeherdance #hashtag
But for real, just doing the framerail fillers as a slight shave for OEM+ look, getting painted henna again and all the stock stickers will be going back on if I can find them (I believe the dealer can get them). No wire tuck either.

Coated floorpan, only have a picture of this side.

Sorry for the potato pictures, but I doubt any of you care that much. Got some more of the 24v swap parts (oilpan, pickup, gaskets and such) and my condor bushings in, so that's all slowly coming together. Subframes are back in with some suspension components. Going to try and stick to the update train more frequently, I had some big projects and stuff going on at school that just finished up, so I have more time to work on the car and my CB430.

Small update.
Old booster out, prepping for swap:

Floor panel is almost in! And this is being done with a flux core lincoln... really limited welding skill too haha.

I started welding in the engine bay plates too, but I forgot to grab a picture of that, maybe tomorrow night or something I can.
Disk swap for the rear lined up, grabbed a new diff and ordering condor stuff soon.

Thanks man, It's slow because I'm learning a lot of this stuff as I go, but I'm getting stoked on it. Trying to finish up at least the floors this week so I can really start trying to finish up the bay and drop in the new motor.

Thanks for getting back to me. I just fired off an email to them. Also the bay looks like it's coming along nicely.

Totally disregarded this comment, and I apologize! they're Fifteen52 Snowflake reps, 16x8 ET36 (I ran a 20mm spacer though). 205/50 on em, but I just sold them to a guy in RI with a bagged Mini, I'm stoked to see what he does with them when they're refinished.Originally posted by DeltaAlpha9 View PostI love the VW snowflake wheels on the car. They look bigger than 14's though. Any more info on them?

Finally got to doing some more work today that I took the time to document. Going to try and do a lot tomorrow as well, so we'll see how much more gets done. Not doing a ton of welding yet, because I only have a Flux core, so I'm waiting to borrow a buddy's MIG. Not trying to blow holes in everything if I can help it.
Sourced a 944 Booster because things... ;D

Shaving Bae, if you know what I mean!
Start:

Finish (minus welding so far)

Fixing a little more rust... again...

Shit shot of the 3M undercoating I've been doing in most the other spots on the car.

That's all for now, I'll try and shoot all the stuff I do tomorrow, it would be nice to pick up the welder and try to pound out all the sheet metal stuff in one day, or at least a good portion of it.

Finally got around to finding some pictures I had put somewhere and all that stuff. So brief updates.
MattAvino hooked me up with Euro bumpers.

(Insert these pictures somewhere before the end of my last post)
And now we pulled him from storage!!! That trailer weights more than the car. The 5.5" lifted XJ with no sways wasn't too happy, but it made it.
I spoiled myself for christmas

Now the part where everyone cringes and I cry. Rust was a lot worse than I thought it was.

Sorry for the crappy picture here, this one is actually mostly surface rust, just some small holes.

Weight reduction #becauseracecar?

Started pulling the front suspension and everything to clean it all up, paint/powder coat/undercoat bits, and install the new coilovers and do an e36 rack swap.

I'll end it with this one: F%&# Racelands. As daily's, they're okay. But I like to drive fast. They don't like that.

That's all for now, I've been too busy to keep cutting and it's been freezing here in Rochester, so when I get some steel and time, I'll keep going.
