    finally finished my wheels
took the chance to snap a couple pics

for those following this, my BBK project is on hold until November we sold our place and i don't move in to my new house until early November so i don't have a garage until then. i MIGHT acquire some extra spindles to give to the machine shop to work with but will depend on price really.

That copper finish. The subtle approach is just spot on!

I have a set of 19" 3-piece wheels in 5x120 sitting in my garage. Everything I see this thread, it makes me want to buy an E38 for them!

decided to put the e38 on the road for a bit and drive it. had no choice since I'm moving.
got the wheels on, did some maintenance recently too but unfortunately might have to put the brakes project on hold for a month or two until i move into my new house.
also working something out to redo the clear coat on the car and get it shining finally.
for now this is how she sits

raised it a bit to make slightly more functional lol honestly tired of scraping around and not being able to go places because the car is too low

so i split my wheels, refinished them and had some custom work done....

    silver faces, copper hardware.
RS waffles/hex custom fit (will thread on) and face machined to match patterns on waffles. waiting to mount tires.

rear brakes are in the machine shop getting modified to fit the spindle and once i get my new front rotors i can finalize my front brackets too.
things are happening, slowly but surely

This makes me want to buy an E38 and rebuild the 3-piece wheels collecting dust in my garage for it. This car is so absolutely wonderful!

I really like how much effort you put into your seven.
Are you planning to finish off your paintwork with some proper sanding and buffing? Because even on the pictures you can tell it looks really bad It needs some nice glossy finish
Oh...it was very good move going from tucked to flush fitment!
i know man, i plan on redoing the clear coat. first attempt it ended up too thin and after sanding and buffing it turned out pretty dull
when i have time again i will re do it.
