    My 99 Saturn Build

    Thanks!
Got some more progress to report since some stuff has come in the mail. Bear in mind a lot of this is all mockup so I can clean everything up and powdercoat some stuff.
Mocked up the fans, got a downpipe started, intercooler piping finalized now just waiting to be welded.
Also finally got my last motor mount spacer installed, in place of the wooden block prototype that lasted nearly a year. Hopefully that fends off some more of the axle vibrations.

You're really making a good use of a Saturn, this is rad. I was expecting shotty work and cutting corners because that's usually what I assume when I think Saturn but this is clean and your work is good. This thing would look so good with different bumpers and side-skirts.

So I've acquired everything for the air so far besides the aerosports themselves, but have been holding off on those for turbo parts instead.

Compressors purchased. Went with a pair of Viair 444c from a member on here for a price I couldn't refuse.

So it's been some time since my last post, but the motor was finished and thrown in and has been running great since. Car is currently off the road for winter, and awaiting some parts from UAS and Bagriders. Should be a fun winter! Oh, and I got some Rotiforms too.

    Lol.
This Saturn is rad! I can't wait to see whats going to happen with that motor!
Those are some sweet seats and center console.
What year is that center console from? And would it fit the stock auto shifter from my 98 sw2?

Thanks guys. And the only reason I'm building this is because it's the car I started out in, learned to drive in, passed my drivers test in, and started out as my mom's car. Love it too much to throw it away, plus it's not just another mk4 or something.

So i picked up a shortblock from a buddy on the cheap that was supposed to be ready to be run but..
I got said shortblock from my friend and am really glad I decided to tear it down. Two of the rods were in backwards and the bearings werent in the greatest shape. I had the block honed and washed at Northeast Machine in Tonawanda, as well as had them polish and balance a newer 8 counterweight crank I got from the yard since the crank that came in the motor looks to have been welded at some point. They also weight matched all my rods and pistons for me.
Just tonight I finished gapping the new NPR rings and threw them on the pistons. (Which are the older made in USA type)

Those wheels are really perfect on your car. They give it a super clean look.

I'm guessing he did it to make it different. After a while, a stock car gets boring. He does what any true enthusiast should do, and he works with what he has.
