So glad you got away from the mismatched wheel. I know it's "scene accepted" but The matching Brocks look soooo good. Nice to see how you revived it!!

I'm almost certain those are AZEV Type As, you lucky bastard.
It's nice to see an E28 done well on here rather than having its springs hacked to pieces.

Ok so been cranking on this thing lately..
Old wheels had to go I was sick of them so if anyone wants a pair of roadstars pm me.

Needed clearance to fit the new wheels/tires so some cutting was in order. I cut the driver side and bacon'd the fender so my pops told me to fuck off and cut the passenger.

My bacon fender.

Fenders cut, pulled them out a bit further again with the handy dandy crowbar. To accommodate these chunkers.

Did some test fitting.. 245/45 on a 17x10 et20

Looked ok but didnt like the massive rake..

Adjusted suspension, and just took it for a test drive. No rubbing or hitting. Final specs:
Front - 17x8.5 / et13 / 225/45/17
Rear - 17x10 / et20 / 245/45/17

Update:
Been loving it thus far minus it leaving me stranded during a snow storm with a frozen ICV and then the speedo taking a shit.. But I replaced the ICV and ICV hose with new units and she's running great again.

Also got a new steering wheel as the keys one was getting boring and wasn't really my style so I sold that and the hub to a buddy and bought a new nrg shorty hub, and a grant 3-6 hole adapter plate.. I was able to retro-fit a vintage 10" "The 500's" steering wheel and it feels awesome and looks dope.

And lastly went to the hood in DC last night to pick up a pair of "mag wheels" no idea what they are but they are pretty sweet and will replace the zero lip contours up front. They are 17x8.5 ET13 and I will de-chrome and respray them and the rear roadstars to silver.. sparkle tar is getting old. Now my grand total for wheels on the car will be $100.. Not bad and the mismatch has grown on me..

If anyone knows what they are let me know...

Yeah rears are spun all the way down and only took the preload up a 1/4" if that... I cranked the dampening to full also as the rear would dip under load and hit the rim. Rides like a brick at low speed, highway speeds its great.Originally posted by Beware View PostGood progress!!
I'm assuming you've wound the rear coilovers down all the way into the body and also off the pre-load to get it sitting that low.....how's the ride?
