ha, you got bored with your 5 series so you bought.. an older 5 series.

e12's are gorgeous though, i like the interiors especially over the 28...

Hows it to drive vs the newer ones?

    e12 Soapbox Racer

Igor is parked, possibly dead, so I bought this to distract me. I've seen it parked at this dealer for months. Finally the price was low enough for me to offer and I got it for a price I'm happy about. It's a 1976 530i. Has an m30b30 and a 4speed. CRUISE CONTROL. Also it's an early model so it has the flat hood which I prefer. Because it's the one I have.

    Yuck:

To start, I shampoo'd erythang because dealers are disgusting. Especially when they have a name like "Dimitri".

Just kidding I actually removed the bumper and cut 2 coils off the front to start. But it was all the same day.

Also, MODIFIED THE CAR with 16x8 style 5s with 205/45 rubber bought from Zane dumb.

Got raped at the DMV, but I asked for it.

Because I got PACIFIC WONDERLAND PLATES

I took more parts off Igor.

    I LOVE THIS

Bribed my cousin. "If you can get all the tint off in an hour you can play my pokemon game". Kid's still love pokemon. I still love pokemon.

Done. Except for the back window because I **** it.

Anyway. I got the wise idea to see if an e28 euro bumper fits an e12. It does.

The car had these surinam headlight bubbles. I took them off.

The oem was ripped up and had lost all of it's horse hair. The dealer decided a good way to fix this was to just patch it with basketball fabric and shove walmart pillows in the seat. I took the seat out.

For a few days I rode around with a bucket seat sitting on some blankets and cardboard but that wasn't fun so I finally made so brackets.

BRACE YOURSELF FOR YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN WELDING AND FAB WORK.

It actually works very well. Perfect height. I used rubber bushings to space the front up so it has a nice angle.

    Installed modified tuned performance

Also my Wife bought me a pretty Nardi for our anniversary a few weeks ago. Here it is making the interior look beautiful. It's a swell place to be.

Also I drive the car sometimes (actually everyday, for some reason I thought a 1976 would make a great daily)

THAT'S ALL UNTIL I DO MORE THINGS

Working...
