This is so sweet. I browse craigslist from time to time trying to find one around me and this definitely just lit that fire again.

    Keep it up man!

cool project btober. mind if i ask you you how you made out with obtaining a title for it? i have a motobecane branded motomarina a bought a couple years ago without a title and i'd really like to get it on the road. tough going with NJ regs though, i haven't made any progress.

    UPDATE 6

    taking off back fender

first i had to unbolt the seat to get to the bolts for the fender

i then took apart the tail light and license plate holder from the fender peice

how the fender looks off the bike

i then bent down and drilled a whole in the piece that was holding the fender up to mount the taillight and license plate into the middle of it

i noticed that the whole was to low on the metal piece so i cut a whole above it so that the wheel on bumps would not hit the taillight and license plate

    bottom hole

    top hole

forgetting that the plate is about 4 inches vertically, there was no way it was going to attach to the plate holder where it was so i had to cut it leaving me with plenty of space taillight to tire

attached the wire back into the tail light

wire tucked it haha no just tapped it to the frame under the seat so it wasn't dangling

after that i was really happy about how it came out no wires hanging and taillight still working

i then thought of putting my license plate on the side of my bike under the shock but did not want to clamp it there because i might hit it getting on and off my bike so i then took the piece that was under the taillight screwed it on to the back of the seat

fit perfect and bolted right up.also saved alot of hassle mounting it to the side
