Picked up a shit ton of maintenance items last night. Oil,oil filter, spark plugs, transmission fluid, oil pan gasket, exhaust gaskets, and some decent car shampoo. Hopefully she'll be DD ready within a week or so. (She is now, but not to my standard)

This is what I did to mine. It is not perfect as each vehicle will vary some. 4wd to AWD conversion how to. http://www.ls1truck.com/upload/files/1/DSC01236.jpg Step 1. Locate parts. A. Parts needed. 1. Front differential + new fluid might as well change it now. Part Number:?????????

4 wheel drive is only 4 wheel drive when you put it into 4wd, other wise you drive around in 2wd until you need the 4wd and you cannot stay in 4wd all the time or you will burn up/break the transfer case or front diff. awd is always awd and never runs in 2wd. The transfer case and front diffs are normally different on the awd trucks than the 4wds. That being said to convert a 4wd truck to awd you need an awd transfer case and front diff. I've seen a few chevy trucks around the net that have been converted to awd using the TC and diff from one of the awd chevy suv's and lowered and whatnot, pretty badass. I've always wanted to built a slammed awd V8 ranger using a 351w, F150 5 speed and an awd explorer TC and front diff...that whole drive train would blot right up to each other...

Ok, I'm not very knoledgable on the differance between 4wd and awd or if there is a differance. But I think and awd dropped truck would be pretty damn trick, like dropping it just enough for a sport setup, bigger engine and wide wheels and tires, like its setup for track would be pretty fucking to me
