Thanks, I'm trying to keep it subtle. It looks like it's going to be a lot, but there is so much black in the bay now it should balance out well.

I did a crude little photoshop to get an idea how the wheels will look.

Threw the watermark on there so there isnt any confusion haha

Good to hear you're close to getting it on the road!

The car is still on jack stands and im planning on powder coating the centers so I may just have to wait a little longer. I might throw them on for fun but that would require swapping the tires from the steelies and then removing them again before powdercoating.

Thanks man, yeah the bay was really the only area that didnt get much love. Ive gotten things mechanically sound for the most part, but it was never very pretty.

Things are coming along well. Should have things finished up this weekend. The engine is now gloss black. The bay is more of a semi gloss black.

The carbs came out really nice. They had a dull grey steel look to them before. The filter covers were a chrome plated mirror finish when I got them, but I had the polisher do a brushed finish instead. I'm trying to add some pops of brass and chrome under the hood where it seems appropriate. All of the linkage is polished as well.

I have found LPS ZeroTri to be the best degreaser product I have used... I used it to blast 20,000 miles of gunk off one of my old motorcycles quite well
Thanks! Didnt get around to trying that product out, but im sure I will need something degreased someday

I really like the look of the motor in that pic, but im just going for something a little different. Im going to be running an electric fan so I wont need the fan polished and as far as the pulleys, I just painted them black along with the block. There will be plenty of polished stuff in the bay, I just didnt want to go overboard. Not really going the show route.
