    Went to Reeve's today to get my tune checked out! Turns out the car did have the Stage 2 93 OCT tune! Woo!

    So I had everything transferred into my name with the tune. I considered fully loading it with a 93 OCT, 100 OCT, stock, valet, and security, but opted to just leave it Stage 2.

    Snapped a few pics while I was there though!

    And they had a sick Forza setup!!

    Got lucky at the u-pull today!

    The car got there the 17th, so it had just about everything left on it. I was nervous because it was a 2000, supposedly the fitment on parts is different, but after looking it over pretty good everything look like it should bolt up to my '04.

    This is what I ended up pulling off.

    Both fenders - kind of pissed about this. I just installed a brand new fender I purchased from eBay, at least I won't have to pay to get parts painted now... An extra bi-pipe to mess around with, an extra first aid kit so I can keep one on ice, caps for everything under the hood so I can shoot paint on them, a new spare since mine was destroyed, an extra cover in the trunk for when I do a sub install, a new center arm rest since the hinge on mine was broken, some random miscellaneous interior bits, AND a headlight switch bezel.

    This headlight switch bezel is being a bitch, it's not the exact same as my '04 bezel. I'm gonna try and make it work though.

    That's it for today, hopefully my coils will be here this week sometime!

    Impulse buy Audi A6 build

    So I'll start this off with a picture of my last car - '04 S2000

    Now onto the story of my new car.

    I sold my S2000 a day before I was supposed to head to NY for a vacation to visit some friends.

    While there all kinds of shenanigans happened. I wish I would've taken more pictures.

    Anyways, my best friend was looking into trading his G37S for something while I was up there. So while browsing Craigslist I came upon this.

    It was an '03 with only 76k miles, 6 SPD, cold weather package, and stage 2+ - K&N drop in, APR R1 DV's, APR 93 OCT tune, SS Autochrome DP's, APR 2.5" catback, JHM short shifter, and a dope boost gauge in one of the A/C vents.

    The car had a surprisingly clean interior.

    What was not good, and for some reason I never took pictures of was the exterior.

    The driver fender was backed into, the driver door has two dents, and the passenger fender has some issue.

    So after a phone call we headed over to Astoria park to meet with the owner and check the car out. I never had any intentions on buying the car to begin with, but I wanted to check it out.

    After a test drive I was hooked. I hadn't ever driven a boosted car before this one surprisingly.

    I through the owner a VERY low offer on the car, and he countered with a price I couldn't refuse. So we head to the bank, and I give him an envelope in exchange for a title!

    Then it set in, fuck.

    I'm 1,200 miles from home, I just bought a used car with no history, and I have to make a cross country road trip.

    The first thing I had to figure out was what I would be using for a license plate. So after some more Craigslisting, I purchased this;

    I met this dude on a corner in the Bronx, he gave me a blank bill of sale, and a blank NJ temp tag for 100 bucks. Little did I know 4 undercover NYPD detectives were watching the entire transaction. So, about 2 minutes after I purchased it, my buddy and I were cut off by one undercover car and blocked from behind by another. After pissing my pants a little bit and explaining what I just purchased wasn't drugs, but instead a shady license plate they gave us a "They look cool, let's let them go."

    The next thing I had to figure out was what I needed to get the car to make it back home to FL.

    The car was low on coolant and brake fluid, so I filled those up.

    The tire pressure was low so, we filled that up. Filling up the tires led to another dilemma which I will get to soon.

    While I was up there I did find a deal I couldn't pass up on.

    Yes they're reps, yes I'm a poser for the BBS center caps, but they were brand new with tires installed for under 1k.

    Then I had a sticker made. I'm 99% sure I'm the first one with this sticker, so if it gets popular remember who set the trend.

    After driving the car around for a couple of days, and deeming it safe we left around 7PM on the 10th.

    We loaded the car up with my luggage, my buddy's luggage, a full set of wheels with tires mounted, and a New York pizza that my mom wanted to try.

    It was smooth sailing all through NY, NJ, MD, and DC. Then in VA BAM, I had a blow out. So, we open up the trunk for the spare. Only to find a destroyed rim with no tire, fuck. Luckily I bought the RS reps before I left! So on the side of the road we set out to change all four wheels. Changing the rears I noticed the other rear tire had a nipple. Then we go to change the fronts and noticed those both had nipples too.... I go to put on the RS reps, AND THEY DON'T CLEAR THE CALIPER, FUCK FUCK.

    So we put the stocks back on and roll the dice, because what else can we do?

    The tires hold up fine until GA, where I'm stopped by a good 'ol boy deputy a little south of Savannah. He just so happens to have a drug dog with him... He walks the dog around my car twice, with no reaction from the dog. He then asks me to step out of the car and tells me his dog showed signs of narcotics in the car. WTF. I've been up at this point for damn near 24 hours, dirty as hell from changing the wheels. I tell him to go ahead and search whatever he wants. An hour later the two cops don't find anything, and I got to take a good look at the new Caprice, which is badass.

    We finally make it back to Florida, and my tires hold up!

    I started ordering parts immediately when I got home.

    ECS sent me;

    Oil, an oil filter, magnetic drain plug, spark plugs, coil packs, fuel filter, tranny fluid, and a magnetic drain plug for the tranny.

    Fifteen52 sent out;

    STS coilovers which should be here any day now!

    eBay sent me:

    A brand new driver fender, 4 5MM spacers, new key fob buttons, a key fob case, and an obligatory Audi keychain

    Then the first "mod" I did was clearing my headlights, and polishing them.

    Before:

    After:

    Then I tossed on my spacers to put the RS reps on.

    Where I found my passenger outer CV boot is throwing grease, so I ordered a new one!

    And the car with the wheels finally on.

    Then I installed all of the maintenance parts ECS sent me. I didn't really take any pictures because there wasn't much to see. Except this. Oops....

    And that's where I'm at now. So far the guy has been upfront, and the car does have all of the mods he said. I need to take it to Reeves - my closest APR dealer, so they can scan my car and make sure it is actually the 93 OCT tune in it, and to see if there are any extras on the ECU.

    Future plans are installing coilovers, Cupra front lip, double din H/U, a nice stealth subwoofer install, and then body work to get the dent in the door pulled and the rest of the miscellaneous dings on the car. After the car is all straight it will probably get a temporary plastidipping, before I do a balls out respray.

    Eventually I'm considering a stage 3 KO4 upgrade, but who knows. That's pretty far into the future.
