FARK, so I'm a massive gay and decided that the Equips didn't fit on the car, but I had some dumb events on the weekend, so I bitched out and borrowed a set of the most overplayed wheel ever.
So it's time to recap this weekend. Better grab some popcorn and get settled because this is quite the update for this thread. (Worstthreadupdaterinaus?)
So let's start off with Saturday morning. Took my car to visit a mates workshop to dial in some low and get my Equips on.
The rears fit on no worries.
However long story short after attempting to grind away brake it still did not clear them. So spacers and extended bolts have been ordered and the Equips will make a return, this time looking more aggressive than I planned.
There was a couple meets that I really wanted to attend on the next day and after putting all that work in to the car we decided that we couldn't just leave it at that.
This brings us to Sunday.
I fitted some newer shinier chrome grills and then drove it to a mates place.
We started off by lowering it to where we were happy. We didn't have anything to use apart from the stock jack which made it an interesting experience requiring pieces of wood and brute strength.
Reversing out of the garage.
Then we drove it up the driveway. (Scrape marks)
On the way to the meet the car threw sparks a few times but the Ground Controls still rode VERY well at that height.
Here it is my car on BBS RS that my mate was kind enough to lend me. They measure 15x8.5 +6 with 195/50 front & 15x10 +15 with 205/50 rear.
MMMMMMMMMM Tasty Wheels!
Leaving the meet the car actually got stuck trying to drive on that dirt road. Of all the lowered cars that attend these meets I'd never seen that happen so it was quite funny.
Finally here's a picture showing how low the skid plate was to the ground. We estimated about 20mm clearance if that.
So happy with how the car looked and how it's turned out so far.
I know I know I said I wanted to be different and not be another E30 on BBS RS but after seeing it on my car sometimes it's ok to do the same thing when it looks that good.
I promised photos and here they are!
Side on view so you can see how low it is at the moment. (Still going to go lower) Really transforms the look of the car though without 4x4 spec height.
Pretty sunset pic.
Me being an idiot.
Dropped my wheel off today to get a tire fixed so should be all good for Dropping it more and putting wheels on Saturday.
