UPDATE: Took some parts from the rear spring perches, which brought it down another half inch or so. Then lowered the front another 20mm. Had to take my spacers off because now it rubs in the rear. I havent done any fender work yet. We're getting somewher now people!!! I dont think ill have to mess with the front fenders unless i decide to go more in the front. After rollage the spacers will go back on. Ground clearance is very good still, mind you i have no side skirts or rear valance so it may be as low or lower than others but doesnt look it until you measure the roof lines. Pics after a bath tonight. Then ill wash the car.

Here's how it went. I took more pics but you guys have seen all this crap before so just the gist it is.

    Cut

    Grind

    Welded

    Ready

    Got started in the AM

Princess on staff to help daddy

    Both sides look like this

Didn't take a photo of the rear, was anxious to see the result so i skipped photos.

Here she sits, gonna let it settle, then take the adjuster collars completely out of the rear to get moar low, then will drop the front more. Wheels poke good, might need more stretch tho. Still looks like a 4x4 to me but i must be patient and give it a day to relax. 15mm spacer front, 20mm rear. Extended studs. Didnt get my lollipops on yet.

I dont think ive ever been this excited, but work has been INSANE this week and i havent had one minute to work on my e30. Hoping to have it dropped by sunday afternoon just in time for beer thirty.

BTW thanks I'm glad you guys are liking it, it's the most fun I've had with a car in a long time if not ever.... And as always, despite the stereotypical "cocks drive bmws" consensus, the bimmer scene seems to be associated with some real genuine folks, all forum fodder aside. Ive literally met some of the nicest and coolest people ive come across in this fucked journey we call life.

Stay tuned i will be taking many many photos of the drop, caliper rebuild, 2nd attempt at oil leak, wheel stud/spacer install, lollipop install, and some fresh as fuck "after" shots when its all done.

Major update...well motor is in and running, nothing really new to show since the last pic of the engine in, just a different distributor. But so far so good, 1.8 to 2.0L and running strong for over 100 miles now. I took a quick photo at the end of my street, to showcase the current status before stance. Coilovers should be any day now, then i should be content for a while.... but i am starting to look at turbos. We will see.

K, couple more. I know i know, super 4x4. Blame the US government.

Oh, i also found out that ive got 3.92 LSD in the rear, i never knew what to look for and we saw the diff tag while the car was in the air. Should go nicely with the little bit larger displacement. Puuurrrfect turbo motor i have here, might have to do that. We will see. Updates and possibly a start up vid on Fri. Thanks for peepin!
