Yeah it's doubtful it will be a real nice riding truck... But meh it's an old truck, I just want it low and CLEAN, and simple....

Friend of mine has this which might find its way into the truck.

Then I will be making a bit of a custom bed with pullout ramps and front wheel chucks for securing motorcycles in the bed.
Eventually I plan on tubing parts of the truck and relocating the gas tank and lightening the truck.
Sounds like a lot of work, but reasonable. I do think the ride quality will drastically suffer any way, unless you bag it. Still looking forward to this though.

Just thought I'd give you guys some eye candy...

Had a loose ground wire over the weekend.... The cramped working space sure is awful!

    Little garage shot

And totally off topic but in case there are some motorcycle lovers in here.... 900rr lump in a zx600 frame....called my superbad idea.....as it came up as just a joke, and then I decided I could actually make it fit.

Sub'd. I'm pretty stoked on trucks... When I have some slightly better cash flow my '78 Chevy crew cab will be getting a thread.

Hey thanks guys, I REALLY appreciate the support on this! Hopefully I can make you all drool on your laptops, that is always the goal right?

I did a little drawing up of the interior....I'm planning on an aluminyummy sheet metal dash, similar to the same layout as you see in the old CJ Jeeps.
I still gotta figure out how to best do this suspension to get it pretty nicely slammed but to not have to notch the body/bed much as this bed will be USED as a truck.

Oh and also, once I get my e36 driving again, this truck will be getting a mini spool put in it. I was pretty disappointed in it getting "stuck" on a flat spot on my driveway after being parked there over night. Was just slick icy snow..... So mini spool, and also some HELLA wide rear wheels to help with the look I'm going for.

This one is just RWD, so solid rear axle with leafs in the rear and A arms in the front with coilsprings.
and yes....yes indeed 318 <3. Already have headers and exhaust done on it, and will be tossing on a dual plane manifold, 600cfm carb and a light cam, it should do quite well. I originally thought I was just gonna twin turbo this beast, but thinking I just wanna keep it calmer and simpler, I can always put the snails on later if I really want to lol

I like this build. I used to have an '87 ram charger on 33"s and I've recently been on the hunt for another one. I miss it every day. great daily truck
