Still waiting for my parts to come in from the U.S. Rear rotors were B/O, then got an email telling me that I couldn't get them at all so 3 weeks after I placed my order I had to pick a different brand. Everything is in the mail though, so should be getting the parts soon.

On a brighter note, my wheels arrive tomorrow I also borrowed my dad's 50mm lens to mess with, so I will obviously be snapping a couple pics

Lack of updates is mostly due to the fact that I've done 120 hours in overtime in the last month. My free time has been more or less devoted to drinking and sleeping

Here are a few shots that have been sleeping in the camera, just because I can't update without pictures

So far parts have been cheap! I have to get used to working on the benz though, quite different from my last car :P And all I can say so far about maintenance on this one is... Well, nothing really All I've had to do was buy her a battery, put some new diesel and diesel cleaner in the tank, change oil and oil filter and she runs perfect! The gas pedal got stuck yesterday afternoon; decided to take it for a little spin without brakes on the street where I work Just stuck my foot behind the pedal and pulled it back! Nothing a little lube won't fix! Other than that, some rotten brake lines were changed, which cost me like 150$ including the braided stainless ones at the 4 corners.

In the end, though, it's still an '84 that sat without running for 6 years, so some wear and tear was to be expected. Motor seems fine though, I let it run for maybe half an hour every day

pretty good start. How is it doing maintenance on those old diesel? I heard they never die, but then again that could be associated with major costs. haha

    Little update

So not much has been done lately, but I still got some little things done! Started fiberglass work on one of the fenders just to keep it from falling apart this winter. I've found 2 replacements and a replacement rear passenger door that I'll swap in the spring. First things first though, I need to get it up and rolling ASAP.

My buddy Jay doing work on the fenders

I got my front calipers back from being rebuilt and got my braided brake lines from the hydraulics shop

Still waiting for the rest of my brake components before I start putting shit back together

The car also decided to spring a diesel leak near the fuel pump. I'll have to get that sorted out too... Hopefully it isn't something that'll be a pita to fix. If anybody has a clue how the piece is assembled in this picture, I'd like to know what could possibly go wrong there. Seals? Loose fittings? Haven't had the time to look into that yet.

Also gave the engine bay a quick wash with some spray nine. Didn't scrub or anything so I still have work to do in there

And I had to snap a shot of that rockin' booty again

More updates as shit gets done! I also just got my SW plate surrounds and windshield banners

Oh yeah! Now we're talking! Still need to get mine mechanically ready for inspection and evaluation to get me some plates though

It's not as clean as I thought it was, but that was to be expected from a car that was just lying there for 6 years with no care!

Uploading pics to my flickr account And I will try my best to do it justice! Most of the work will have to wait until spring though, since I have to do all my work outside. And it gets pretty cold around here...

One thing: I don't like your headlights. I prefer the clear ones. And if youre going to give a clean look to the car i would rather change them

There is some lowering spring available but nothing that will bring her low enough !! I would want to cut some coil while I wait for the bags, but I need to find the proper tool to compress the coil (Klaun type) since a normal tool is not strong enough for W123 coils!!

For parts, mercedessource.com is good and have great tutorial video for our chassis! You can also look at autopartsway.ca, good price and shipping.
Merci Keep me posted if you find a spring compressor that works, I will need to get ahold of one to chop some coils And I'm really eager to see yours bagged, it looks so fucking clean!

And free shipping for any order over $75

There is a w123 by my house and I REALLY want to pick it up

    good luck
Thanks! And go for it! I already love mine and I can't even drive it yet

I saw a couple of crazy ones! The drift car from black smoke racing is utterly ridiculous, and their block is stock! I will join the superturbodiesel club, I need more info on how to make this thing a monster

The interior is pretty perfect! There are only 2 things I could even spot that aren't peftect; there is a tiny crack on the dash near the vent, and the leather's color has faded a bit in some areas... And god damn those seats and comfy

    Thanks!

Now... I haven't had the chance to do much, as I had to order all the parts I need to get it inspected and back on the road!

Here is what I ordered :

    A ton of vacuum lines
    Rotors and pads
New bolts for this and that
    Wipers
Stanceworks windshield banner and plate surrounds obviously

I also brought my front calipers to a local brake shop to have them rebuilt and went to a hydraulics shop to get a quote for some rubber/stainless flexible brake hoses for all 4 corners. I'm also shopping for some Bilstein heavy duty shocks, trying to find the best price! I also got a call from my landlord complaining about how ghetto the building looked with the benz sitting on stands with oil stains on the pavement :P So I snapped a couple pics for you guys and put her back on her wheels...

More good news : My boss asked me if I could work from thursday to wednesday in Toronto, driving one of the trucks there and back. I told him it fucks up my plans to get my car ready before winter because working in the freezing weather and snow really blows, but he was desperate for my help to get the contract done on time so he offered to pay to get the car towed to the shop so I could work on it indoors when I get back So more money in the bank and a nice and warm shop to work in, how much better could it get?

Anyway, I'll try to talk less and show more, so here you go, some current pics to hold you guys over until I get back from Toronto

    Hope you enjoyed
