Looking at buying same year and model.
Any advice on what to look for or have a good source for info?

I don't know if that's a sarcastic remark or not but just to be clear, this certainly will not be a race car. I've used LS1 swaps in other cars. Its decent power stock, very reliable and still gets great gas mileage. Overall it will just really make things easy for me. I will keep this inline six motor in storage though. Nothing on the car will be destroyed. This car will be able to return into its stock life form if needed. I have a level of respect for the car... its not some shitty honda/nissan build. ( NO OFFENSE) I've been there and done that so I totally understand and respect any build. I enjoy it all and love the hobby/people who are involved.Originally posted by SD202 View PostIm glad that youre choosing an LS1 swap into a merc and not turning it into a race car. Thank goodness

Me too, it really makes me love the car.Originally posted by Sutton View PostThe Green! Love it!
In Atlanta, GA! Had the car shipped from Cali to ATL! So this build is not normal around here.Originally posted by Sutton View PostWhere in CA are you?
Id be interested in your running gear once the swap has been made
Nope, living in ATL... Although I used to frequently be in cali... family lives in Malibu Cali. haven't been in a few years though. Might have plans to head to the west cost... not sure yet. We shall see what the future holds.Originally posted by ionz View Posthe isn't in Cali, although i'm sure he'd rather be

ha ha! thank you guys/gals? for the support. I will for sure keep you all updated along the way. Currently I'm sourcing my interior work right now, this is going to cost a lot more than I expected... GO FIGURE!
PS - The ls1 setup is not to build a race car out of it. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea here. It's more so when I do a road trip and have the car loaded with people... I can still merge on the highway with out getting killed because I can't get up to 60mph with out a run way lol.
