It's been awhile since I updated this. The car is running great and the coilover ride is pretty good. So far I'm happy with it but still not 100% satisfied, then again what builder isn't lol.

So it was time for me to replace my waterpump and tstat. Easy task right? Unfortunately it ended up being a pain in the culo!

The tstat was no problem but the waterpump wouldn't budge. I tried giving it a little bang with a rubber hammer, nothing...so I tired using the two threaded bolt holes used to remove the pump, that ended up snapping off...then I said fuck it and let me just hammer the shit out of it. Not a good idea....

Ended up breaking it off but part of it was still in there and I could not get it out. I tried using a chisel and hammer to break off the remaining pieces but that was too time consuming.

So I had my buddy use his air hammer and luckily it came out. What a relief!

In the next couple days I'll be doing some more suspension work/cosmetic things here and there to get ready for this years Bimmerfest 2012 in Maryland. More updates later to come...

On a side note here's my daily accomplishment lol

    started a topic HenRoc's E30 Sedan Build

    HenRoc's E30 Sedan Build

Hello everyone and welcome to my build thread. After many years of being in the 240 scene I decided to try something different. I picked up a 1991 BMW 318i around 4 months ago. I've done a few things to it since then and I would like to share it with you guys. Enjoy!

My last 240 before I converted lol

    Now on to the e30...

    When I first got her

First things first, did some motor maintenance and alittle bit of engine bay cleaning

Now its time for the fun stuff

My buddy Cesar from E30 Motoring helping me with the cutting and welding part of the install

    Coilovers installed

Oil pan is pretty low and the roads in Jersey ain't so pleasant...

So I went ahead and got me a Race Skids plate

Also installed an OEM lip, the "IS" lip is cool and all but I kinda like the way this one looks on the e30s

After about 3 weeks of driving around and enjoying the car, I accidently took a lane that I know I shouldn't have taken. I was in a rush to get to work when a car in front was going to slow for me. So I went around it and there lied a nice big and wide sewer drain that dipped down a good 6in, enough to destroy some shit. Lesson learned!

    OUCH!

    Hammered it back in place

Luckily I had an extra oil pan lying around

Finally got some new shoes and tires

Why didn't I roll the fenders the first? another lesson learned lol

    Time to get rolling

So that's it for now, the car still needs some suspension tlc such as trailing arm bushings, control arm bushings, etc. I'll keep you guys updated, thanks for looking.
Working...
