I'll be picking up a set of 15x10 steelies today, will probably have them torn apart and ready for reassembly over the weekend.

I'll take pictures of the wheel making process to keep you gentlemen entertained.

    Keep on doing YOUR car!

Now my 2 cents: Dislike the rear but the front is promising.

    aaaaaaaand...

    Dat steering wheel!

Rear will eventually be swapped out with an 03+ LS rear end w/ Toyota Cavalier taillights.

    And yes, dat steering wheel.

Nope, it's staying. Typical cavalier would be a huge aluminum wing, busted to crap body kit and alzetta tails

Steelies are in the process of being built. 15x10 roughly +10 et
I've thought about a roof wing... but IDK.

I have a close friend who is obsessed with building/racing his Z24 Cavalier, and it still surprises me to this day.

Here's pics of his car before it bit the dust, may they give you a little inspiration.

I'll be taking mine to the autoX course in September, it looks like a lot of fun.
Most of the racing around here (that involves Cavaliers/Sunfires) is on an oval dirt track.

    Mmmmm Toyo Tails...

This guy made a cav look good, but look at all of the fabrication required.

The reason they say to get a new car is because it would become a money pit if you don't know what you are doing. (I think this guy knows what he is doing though)

I've been watching his build for a long time now (On here and j-body.org). His car is a huge inspiration to me.

In the end it'll be low, sitting on decent wheels, and pushing ~300hp.

Welp, it's been a while, so I spose an update is in order.

Car has been running FANTASTIC, I believe I've got roughly 800 miles on her.
I definitely need stiffer springs, 375 up front and 250 in the rear just won't cut it. I'm planning on something around the 500 range, possibly higher.
Got the rear lip installed... kinda. Zip ties will do. Plan is to do 03 ls sport rear bumper eventually anyway, so no big deal.
Still needs a clay bar / buff / polish / wax REALLY bad. Just no funds to really get it done.

The brother and I started on our practice widened steelie. From what we learned doing that one, it shouldn't really be that hard.
I lied though, the steelies won't be 15x10, more like 15x8... Maybe I'll save up and get 2 10" barrels and run the 8"s up front. We'll see.

Here's some updated craptastic cell phone pictures for your eyeball pleasure/annoyance.

Will be ordering stiffer front springs soon... more low will be had. After more lows I'll be working on getting my steelies made.

    Gettin' there

Couple new pictures... ignore the time stamp.

It's an awesome feeling when you look at your car and cream a little.

I would do spacers, but they'd have to be almost 2"... I'll just deal with it until I get my steelies on.

More pictures this weekend what I have the time. Currently moving and it's been CRAZY up in here.

    Doesn't seem like it.
It drives amazing on nice smooth roads, but as soon as I hit bumps it gets nasty.

I'm confused as to how yours looks 10x worse... haha. Thanks nonetheless!!

I'm going to crank my struts stiffness up tomorrow and look into getting springs with a higher rate. I'll eventually have to tub out the rear and either; extend my rear trailing arm... or do an IRS swap. I'm leaning more towards IRS... we'll see.
    Ooooh, all for a Cavalier.

On a side note, I got my front lip and side skirts on. The skirts look over 9000 times better than the rest of the car. I need a wash, clay bar, scrub, polish, wax and/or repaint very badly. I'll take pictures tomorrow... or something.
