I would think to get yourself a set of real wheels first then drop it, otherwise you might (most likely) have to adjust the height anyway

I need to get lower in the front before I start thinking about wheels.
Plans are raise strut towers and move the brackets that hold the struts to the steering knuckle.
Once that is done, I'll mess around with the steelies I'm in the middle of widening... though I don't know if the barrels I have ready will work.
The inner diameter of the barrels is slightly bigger then the outer diameter of the faces I have...
There is a set of trans am snowflakes for sale though...

Crappy phone pictures... but you get the idea.
Just kidding... my wheel fell off..
Yes those are snapped studs. This is what happens when you don't get an alignment, your control arm bolt was loose, and you fail to check your lugs.
Car is fine.. wheel isn't. Fender was mashed a little bit.
I'm still angry and want to set fire to my car.

Springs ordered... more lows on the way!!!
More progress on the steelies over the weekend.
Tire size suggestions?

Springs are currently out of stock but should be available either Wednesday or Thursday... then wait for shipping and BAM! More lows can be had.
After that I'm going to have to tuck my exhaust a little better, it drags a little bit as is...
Then finish off my steelies... found out my dads friend has a mini machine shop in his garage... so that'll make the rest of the project go a little smoother.
Get 'em sandblasted, welded up and fitted nice and smexy... throw some cheapo tires that I have sitting around... and be a cool guy.(Emphesis on the "It's still a Cavalier")
Ooh, question. Because I don't know how far I'll be poking, and pretty much have free range on what the offset will be, (being that you guys are experts) how much do you think I'll be able to pull my fenders? I'll be using a fender roller... bat... hammer... phonebook (fat friends included).... pretty much all the tricks that I've seen, minus making my own flares (That could be a possibility though... just in the distant future)
I don't wanna just slap the wheels on and do a rolljob, my baby's beggin' for a whole lot of love.
Also figured out what color I want to paint them... and it's a secret.
Hint: It's a secret.
Then I can work on my 240sx.

If you have any more questions I will try to help in any way I can.
The 10" barrels are somewhere around 12 5/8 and the Cavy centers are roughly 12 1/2. An 1/8" difference isn't that much that needs to be made up, but I definitely wasn't expecting it.
I'm thinking it has something to do with the barrels coming from Ford wheels... I could be wrong though.
Either way, I'll make it work.
