thanks, it should be pretty interesting once its done. right now it's trying to get all the weight in the car so it can be decided on wheels/tires/suspension.

    its is,

so today I was able to mess with it a few hours, first was getting the adapter plate on the motor along with the spacer.

and set the "clutchless" clutch on the output shaft.

its a little hard to explain but you don't actually shift the trans while driving, instead you put it in gear and go. So for doing city driving you'd keep it in 3rd maybe 4th to get the power without draining the batteries and 5th for the best rang on the highway or distance with minimal stops.

since the shaft on the trans hit the output shaft on the motor it had to be cut down, no worries since there is no pilot bearing.

    and putting the clutch on

    and all together!

    Sherman's sister. The EV story (e28 #2)

so after some good feedback on shermans story I decided to share another project granted this will a little bit different from the typical stanceworks builds, but it will be lowered and on some nice wheels in the end.

this e28 was snagged up from texas being 100% flawless minus a blown headgasket... works just fine for this build. So first was the M20 and autotragic had to come out.

Then after a bit of waiting christmas came early!

first was getting the 5 speed attached to the adapter plate

after some drilling and tapping it was mounted, I will be going back and running longer hardware with lockwashers and nuts to make sure there is no risk of it breaking under load since with EV motors you can have instant torque.

Working...
