I especially love the Saleen spoilers. I think I'm going to have to snatch one up.
Are you doing anything up front other than airbags and struts? Still stock K and control arms?
I know I need to ditch mine for a nice tubular K/control arms and coil overs. Especially since I'm sitting way lower with tons of extra camber now. It's like I mysteriously picked up a bunch of weight on the nose or something...
Also are you rubbing at full lock? I know mine does like a mofo and I'm only dropped 2".
Another tip- tuck your chassis harness in the driver side wheel well. Otherwise your tire will chew through it real quick. Mine had about 4 wires chewed through from the previous owner.
yea man! best color for sure! is that a blacked out hood/ carbon fiber? im thinking of getting a nice carbon fiber cowl.
it was a stock hood from a friend's black 03 GT. i had a decal on my hood and started to peel it off, and the paint came with it. that friend just got a cowl hood and let me have the stock one.. i love how it looked. i miss that car soo much
Air has come such a long way in the last few years. I'm loving this.
Nothing wrong with taking a rare numbered car and making it more awesome with bags. Hell I'm considering the same with my Shelby.
Completely agree. I love some of the stereotypical reactions... And to them, I say that's cool, i just ask them to research into it a bit before passing judgement or making assumptions about the performance. Just look at all the Pro-touring cars, some SERIOUS air suspension setups in those things....soo awesome.
Thanks! I took it for a test run today, and i was really impressed with the ride. It felt tight like a coilover but absorbed bumps nicely. the Koni's and Ridetech stuff is at the factory setting so ill be tinkering with it in the next few days to see how the different settings work out, but i have no doubt this thing will be able to handle, i couldn't believe how nice it drove today without any adjustments
Pretty much all complete, no high quality shots yet but heres a pic of what the car looks like as a whole...
re rolled the rear fenders a bit more, cut up the front fenders, finished off the trunk (forgot to snap pics)...next up is toying with rebound/compression and ride height..then alignment.
