I changed my front shocks again today. Upgraded once more to KYB Gas A Just 4wd shocks. Not quite as short of compression but much MUCH stiffer and the ride is very good now.

But I have a dilema. My front tires are absolutely toast. Showing wire, sidewall about to separate from the tread, bad things. So I'm going to need tires before I will be able to get new wheels. Therefore, should I buy a couple of used ones for the time being and go ahead with the wheels, or buy new tires and do all of the other stuff that really needs to get done before putting new wheels on?
