My S4 is still in progress I'm just waiting to add some more performance parts and to figure out which rear valance and front spoiler look the best. I"m going to take her to get the fenders rolled out a tad so i stop rubbing so bad. But I'll add that to the other build thread.

Well I finally was able to take Roberts E30 off of his hands and I cannot put into words how excited I am to have a vehicle that I can work on myself that doesn't require a rocket science degree. I've never run into a car thats has so many possibilities yet can still be done within a limited budget. That being said I have already decided in what direction I would like to take this vehicle
My first order of business is to clean it up a bit:
-Throughly detail and scrub the interior
-Replace the cracked windshield
-Have the remaining windows de-tinted and scrubbed
Next will be to fix the very minor mechanical issues:
-Change oil
-Replace the intake vac line
-New spark plugs
-Try to clear those pesky engine lights
Now the good stuff, for the past week or so I have been reading other people build-threads and technical articles to try and decided what the best options would be for the car and what was the best "bang" for your buck. My vision for this e30 is not so much to try and out do others or "fit in" but rather to create something that turns heads but at the same time has practical applications and could be a normal DD.
Engine: At the moment I am still between turning the current M20 that car has into a 2.7L stoker which will require me to change out the top end of the block to "I" components for the "e" thats it currently has. The other option is to swap it for and M50 which comes out of the early 90's 5 series cars and has a lot more power and has more of a tolerance for forced induction options
. Both options are very close in price the only thing that differs is the amount of time each will take.
Body: After talking to petry I decided that the M-TechII kit looks the best if I want to go that route. I want to repaint the the in its factory black color with the exception of the engine bay which I would like to do something artsy in because I intend to shave it as much as possible.
Suspension: This is the only area that I'm not very clear on what I want to do, because I loved being on Air in the GTI but I feel like a static drop is the way to go with this car. Regardless of the road I take on this I promise it will be low
Interior: I want to keep all of the original seats in the car but i want to redo the inside in a peanut butter colored leather and black carpet. I don't know how much can really be done with the audio in these vehicles but I would like to improve it if at all possible.
Wheels: These http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=233315 or some OZ fiddaplais or refinish a set of RS's I havent decided yet.
