thanks!! like i said, comments like these make me want to get this shit done haha

speaking of, heres an update. I got my first two spacers in the mail today before I went to work. I had to freakin wait 7 hours to get them on...i was pissed haha. My plans were to use the 1.5 inch spacers on the front, and see where i'll be on the rear. welll they're about perfect all around. I think i'm gonna have to put a 5mm spacer on the rear once I get the fenders rolled, but they look pretty good right now.

Its all good!!! i love that this is a true build to the T(IMO). Its a paycheck by paycheck trying to make shit work( like me) daily grind. I cant tell you how many times i get so anxious to be "there" with my stance, until i get pissed off its taking so long. It feels like everyone else seems to have it so tangibly and so far from where i want it. I like what your doing to this body style Volvo though. Keep it coming!!!

Thanks! I think the boxiness of the car really pulls it off. the vws and other cars i've seen with them are too round compared to the lines of the wheel, and it just doesn't flow well. imho, of course haha

i agree haha. all the...flair...was a result of me being bored and broke. im still broke, but I have begun to see the whole less is more thing.

This thread started bad, but it's getting alot better with the removal of the "flare" and sawblades. I love how 700s look.

Note, I may want these wheels and adapters once you want to sell.
haha thanks man! It means a ton to me to get compliments from people like you. i've loved ALL your cars, even the vanagon haha. I started taking off the stickers today, and tomorrow i'm going to try to get the rest off. I've got some good polish and wax and all that to use on it, too. It shines up real nice, I just haven't given it a proper detail in ~2 years. I'm so excited to see it coming together.

    me either! especially after today.

note, this is the last time i'm posting any pictures until I get all four wheels mounted, because i'm sure people **** seeing the same kinds of shots haha. I got the bad tire switched for another one, and we got the other two tires mounted. I came home from the shop and changed the fuel filter, but it didn't fix anything. I think the pump is gummed up. I may take it out and see if i can clean it out and get it going. After i got the car back on the ground, i put a rear wheel in the well to see what it's going to look like, and holy crap, i love it. i told one of my friends that i'm gonna be driving around with a boner everywhere I go because it looks so good haha. I have a headlight restoration kit somewhere, I just have to find it. Also, I am gonna be hammering out the fender lips sometime in the next week or two. and once I roll the lips, it'll let me sit the wheels out another inch or so.

    hood and windshield stickers GONE.

thanks for the kind words everyone! haha it gives me motivation to work on it.
