Wow what an awesome car. Always loved mini's and the amount of time and work you've put in is inspiring me. Kind of kicking myself in the ass for not buying a welder and doing stuff myself.

Well the new owner came and picked this up last night.

Pretty bummed to see it go, but I simply didn't have the time to finish it.

Made quite a bit of money from it, and I have a job now, so I'm on the hunt for an E36 Touring.

    Thanks guys.

If I'm honest, I've barely done anything since my last update. All the motivation that I have for it is well and truly gone.

I'd thought about getting a Civic EF Seden, cause I went through a Hondafanboy stage and now I'm thinking about getting a E36 Touring. Seriously though. It ticks all the boxes, looks cool, cheap, nice cruiser(55mpg if I can get a diesel) and it's a hell of a lot better than a Civic.

So I told my Dad and he's down with me getting an E36 Touring, which I was really, really surprised at. But, I've done too much work on the Mini to simply sell it, so the plan is to get it finished early next year and run it for a year or two or until I find the right E36.

Fuck it, I'm going to work on the Mini right now.

    /shitty post

Not much progress unfortunately, guys. Quite frankly, I'm sick of looking at the damn thing. Just wish it was finished already!

It was supposed to be painted a couple of weeks ago, but I ran into troubles with the hubs and calipers, so I missed paint.

My Dad is off tomorrow, so hopefully he'll give me a hand and I can get somewhere.

Sorry about the shitty update! Pics to follow.

Thanks man. Appreciate it. Yeah, I think the red looks fantastic. Probably do the calipers in that colour too!

Yeah, tell me about it! So glad I found out about it now, rather than a couple of years..if it lasted that long, down the road.

Thanks Oh yeah? Hmm. I have plenty of steel mounts in the garage, it's just the front end fitted a lot better with these on? I'll give them a bash for now, and if I see any signs of wear, I'll swap them over

Correct. Those are the two bottom ones(Can be swapped for solid mounts) And then there's two bolts that attach the suspension towers to the bulkhead. Then the front end mounts to the front of the subframe via two bolts

Calipers are now drying in the shed. I'll have another update tomorrow.
