    I'll have more pics of the 7's progress soon, but in the meantime here are a few photos from the various 20B 3-rotor builds that have been keeping us busy...

    As most of our products do, life starts out as a 3D model in SolidWorks. The amount of guesswork and headaches you save your self is unreal. Many hassles can be worked out long before any metal is cut. So onto the intake manifold.... the customer wanted 750 on low boost, and 900 plus when cranked up. Having built numerous intake manifolds for high horsepower cars, we know the amount of power that can be unlocked just by ditching the stock manifold. You'll hear it in forums all over..."So and so made this much power on the stock manifold, it works fine"... It works fine if you want to starve your motor. The stock manifold had to go.

    The radius of the runners is much more gradual than stock, which has a sharp transition into at the motor. The runners were also kept longer to keep the torque numbers higher.

    Onto the hotside of things. The downpipe was made using laser cut pie cuts. Each section is also etched at both 0 and 180 degrees, so you're able to clock each piece just so.

    The exhaust manifold. Again, starts life out as a 3D model from which each piece is later cut out to exact spec.

    After intital tack, each runner is broken down and welded independently, capped and purged.

    Well you explained it to me perfectly now I see why the wheel arches are so low. function over form is a good thing when putting down those numbers! I'll be folowing this!

    No worries... we did this because normal isn't exciting. Wheelspin through 120 mph is huge fun, but also rediculously scary in some situations. Big rubber is needed to tame this, yet big rubber looks a little silly without a flare... boxy flares are terrible for top speed aero, so they're as smooth as possible. It all has a purpose in some form or another...
    I'll agree with you that these pics make the body seem a little ehhh, but the end result will clean all of that up. It may not be for everyone, but it will do exactly what it's made for very well.
    That was the perfect response. Not rude, but got your point across very well and clearly. I'm a huge fan of this build btw!

    Thank you! As for the fenders its all about keeping the air out of the wheel wells, more function than form with the 7... the Z will be more form:-)

    fuck dude you seriously got skills man... the other prohject is very awesome too... both are in my top 5 greatest cars ever and they're getting VIP treatment now only the fenders are following the tires way down too low but hey that's my taste! the craftsman ship is very high rated here! well done!

    There is much more to come. The body and undertay will be finished sometime this winter (fingers crosssed) and driven in its current state for a year or so until we replace the Eccentric shaft, up the fuel, and crank it up some more. Color scheme will be black on black (black chrome wheels)

    Cosmetically it isn't my favorite either, however the body was done in the name of aero, so all seams and creases were eliminated where possible.
