I''ll say it; I'm not digging the hood extension, rusted hood or yellow lights. But over all, pretty sick car, awesome wheels and great stereo work!

Finally new rims. To bad they didnt come with low profile tyres. Soon changing into 175x35 or something to get the right strech and profile to get it slammed.
Started on roof rack also today which will be done tomorrow. Pictures will come. Hopefully one day, youll jaws will be scrapin the asfalt ;D
Also, for those interested. Started with the doormounted subwoofer enclosure

4mm thick steel plated which has been cnc made to get a perfect fit around the subwoofer. This is then welded on to the door. Mind you the subwoofers going in the door are only 6" tang band subs so rebuilding the whole door is in fact not necessary.Last edited by tmolberg; 08-24-2011, 06:29 PM.

Actually yes. I can load the amplifier down to 1 ohms instead of 4 but then it wont sound as clear because of the headroom the amplifier gets when its loaded in 4 ohms instead of 1 ohm. However, there is more than enough bass. 92dBs SPL, not to shabby really.Originally posted by smoky0937 View Postany reason why your only running 500 watts to the subs? seems underpowered for the size.
The car is pretty much slammed as far as it gets at the moment. Still waiting for my paycheck so I can get some ronals to slam it even moar ;D and about the rust, i agree with the "rust the hood" part but a part of me dosent wanna do the whole car. Still in a phase of judging if i should rust the whole car and put motor oil on it or paint it (mind you thats ALOT of work to some rust in diffrent areas -.-)Originally posted by NewNoise View PostThink i saw your car this sunday, at Mekjarvik
I'm getting pretty tired of the "my rat-Golf with a rusted hood-trend" to be honest, but it's good to see some hometown represent on here anyway. I suggest that you slam your car, fit some old-school dish wheels and paint it in a fresh color.. You might just end up having the coolest mk3 in Stavanger
Oh, and your work on the sound system looks awesome
I disagree, the rust makes the car more a part of me, ive never been into shiny cars and shit like that. I like it straight down and rough.Originally posted by Dr.AK View PostSound system looks awesome, bet it sounds good too. Exterior of the car looks like poo at the moment. The rust is not cool.
At the moment though i'm leaning towards painting it matt black
Something like this ----->

Haha, the car looks like it was eaten then shat out again and it survives anything. This car has undergone moar abuse than a 1960s prostitute, hence the sled from hell.
Any tips on how to rust the rest of the car and how to stop it (i know you cant stop it, but atleast partially)

Your saying something there.... Actually i'm thinking of rebuilding the interior aswell... However I _DONT_want people to think im copying rusty so I'll have to think out something cleaver before going to work on the interior again.
Time will tell..
****** gonna ****.Last edited by tmolberg; 08-24-2011, 06:25 PM.

not sure if the exterior is going to match the quality of the interior/sound system... i'll save my final judgment until the end product is revealed. keep up the work man.

You obviously dont know shit about carstereo. And high schooler? Dont think there are many high schoolers competing at eurolevel in carstereo? Runner up in the EMMA eurofinals, so it has potiental.
Either way, everyone has to start somewhere so why not start with something I had around and dosent cost me shit to work on?
