It's been far, far too long since the last time I've updated this thread so, here I am, with a brand new set of photos!
My car went through a lot of little updates in the past months but really soon it will get a bigger engine (M52B28), high performance brakes, a new suspension, differential and so on and... hopefully a set of Hartge wheels or BBS RS.
I'm looking for a set sized 8.5 up front and 10 in the rear but they're pretty darn hard to find.
My iphone's camera wasn't too great and maybe that's why the color seemed a bit odd The car is almost finished right now and today I finally took a couple of photos with a decent camera that show exactly how the car looks like.
I'm pretty psyched with the final result even though I'd also want to lower it even more up front. I might buy another suspension in the next months to lower it with another 2 or 3 cm but I also have front splitters that go under the spoiler and those are 2cm wide.
After a couple of weeks, my car has been finally repainted in Laguna Seca Blue.. I totally love this color, it goes from ultra light blue when the sun it up to greenish-blue when the sun sets and to pretty dark blue at night. It's quite a crazy color and I think this might be the only e36 in the world painted in Laguna Seca with red wheels. Red and blue are my favorite colors, that's why I wanted it like this.
It's not finished yet, I still have to add a lot of things (fog lights, plastics at the door handles and many more) during the next week or so and then I hope I can come up with a proper photoshoot for it. Here are a couple of pics from these last 2 days.
Yes, I finally know it's called headliner haha! I've thought about it for a while and couldn't find the right term.. The light blue line from the Vaders is actually made from cloth, not stitching, from a soft, velvet-like material that couldn't go on the headliner because it's too thick. But I've thought those light blue lines from the seats will go with the car's light blue exterior (laguna seca) and the rest would be blacked out (headliner, door cards).
The engine is pretty small, 1.8is m44 which has like 140PS so it's not that great but it's ok for now.
I'm back with a couple of updates to my project... Next week it's going to be fully painted in Laguna Seca Blue and.. I really hope it's going to be a wicked combination. To be honest I've never seen an e36 painted in Laguna Seca Blue with RED wheels but I have a feeling it's going to turn out pretty well.
In the meantime I've installed the new steering wheel
Then I've wrapped the roof covering? (no clue if that's the right term) into black cloth. I still have to paint the lamps, sun visors and so on into black next week.
With all these the interior is almost done. The wheels were also re-polished and received the carbon bmw badges.
Sorry about the accident man..always sucks. But glad to hear about the new paint. Laguna Seca is such a beautiful color - i was actually thinking of painting my bike that color
