Duhhhh! Once the new wheels and tires are on I should be able to lower it down some more.

Already going at it this way... no turning back now! Might have to use a bit of bondo on the very outside to get it truly smooth. I'm hoping I can do it with just this Marine Tex stuff (aka JB weld) and that you won't be able to tell where there were holes.

You're past the point of no return on TB Weld now. Will be cool when finished. Take your time to avoid any Bondo or paint shrinkage. Which white will you use?

That's a really good idea with the jb weld, when you get it all smooth try and use a primer filler to make sure you can't see where the holes go. Can't wait to see this when you get the new wheels on it.

Got two of them to this point with a wire brush and the 100 grit sanding block.



Going to use bondo on the outermost layer to make it easier to sand and form with the curve of the wheels.

Got a later of bondo on two wheels.







That's where I'm at now! Grinding down the other two wheels then those will get the same treatment!

Try to go a little lighter with the bondo. It's meant to be sanded of course, but if you glob it on like that you could easily end up with air pockets. Try using the plastic thing (name escapes me) to smooth it into the holes, don't just slap it on top. These will look amazing on your car once finished.

Yeah, this was the final product of tons of extra sanding work that I didn't need to make for myself by globbing it on so thick.





I also picked up some coarse and medium sanding blocks... that made the work 10x easier!

haha, I liked them too, they were stupid bent, paint bubbling and I just wanted to get rid of them.

Picking up a scratched up red bumper for my car to replace the spray paint/purple one I have now. Gonna try to touch up paint the scratches and then use that while I refinish my stock bumper as do some custom work on that.
