Guest repliedYeah I know, I said ^ up there a bit that I won't claim to have experience that I don't have. Or something like that... I'm only 18, Im obviously no genius. But I would like to think I have a measurable amount of knowledge because I have been around cars for a while, I have experimented, and I've spend large quantities of time with guys who've been in the business for 50+ years.Originally posted by Oxer View PostYour shit stinks like everyone else, just dont come across as though you know everything.
Just a side note, I actually hang out with a guy from the design team of the 350z an who is on the team for the new Z car. Hes a really cool dude and even though he's in his 70's, he drives very very well. Tours are fun with hin

Guest repliedhaha thanks. The forums I've been on, I'm used to needing thick skin for offtopic not necessarily general discussionOriginally posted by MommysLittleMonster View PostJust giving you shit. If you're here to learn and take advice, you'll do just fine.
Do yourself a small favor though- don't try to explain things you don't really understand. Ask questions, look for advice, and take everyone's feedback with a grain of salt- this is a great forum. Just be warned, you may need to have thick skin from time to time.
Good luck, looking forward to your progress.

Guest repliedsigh... I'm not going to sit here and claim im super experienced. I was just trying to make a reference to explain how without a flywheel i do still get performance out of the clutch. You may say I don't, but considering I'm the one who drove on both clutches I feel I'm pretty qualified to say that I have better performance from it.Originally posted by MommysLittleMonster View PostYour inexperience is radiating through.

Your inexperience is radiating through.Originally posted by Celli View Postwell on a side note, i turn 18 on sunday! But anyways, I hear ya on the flywheel. It's one of things where you get gain, but you could get more. you know what I mean? like let's pretend you put a turbo without any high compression parts and you only run like 3 psi. you get 20hp. But now if you start putting injectors and valves and pistons, that hp number rises. I get performance out of the clutch, but i could get much more.
I'm definitely not losing the xxr's. Just bought them a month or so ago. And they only cost 600. If yall arent a fan of them, theres not a whole lot I can do. I love them.
I will be lowering more as soon as I can get my hands on a stiffer spring to put on my coils in the rear. I'm about as low as I can go there. The front I could drop another inch and a half and be good.
I like the tinted tails. I dunno about where you live, but here a lot of people have tinted tails. Alot of people like them. And it's not just the ricers. Trucks and suv's like em too

And, I thought so.

Car doesn't look too bad. Not a fan of the tinted tails. I went through that phase and I'm glad I got rid of them.
I'd say lower it more and get rid of the XXR's and get some better wheels. One thing you'll learn on this site is people are't a fan of Rota's and XXR's. Usually you can pick up a set of used legit wheels for the same price as Rota/XXR and you'll be better off in the long run when it comes time to sell them.
For example, I got my Wald's from VRWheels for $900. With that said they needed a bit of work to get them looking good, but that's all part of owning a set of rare wheels.

And trust me, a solid carbon graphite plate grabs muuuuch quicker than a dual plated street clutch with helper springs. The short shifter also helps too..... haha
yes sir.
