  • Problems with Accuair VU4

I installed my VU4 and it worked perfectly for a few days. On April 19, one of the corners stopped airing up, so I checked every inch of line as well as my fittings, and nothing was pinched or had any leaks.

I gave Accuair a call on the 20th, and I sent my VU4 in for a rebuild that same day. I got it back on May 7, and plugged everything back in. The fronts aired up, but the same rear passenger corner still didn't air up.

Has anyone else had this problem? I haven't been able to drive my daily in almost 3 weeks and I feel like it was a waste of time sending it back to Accuair, then waiting for a lot longer than the expected time.

Are you 110% sure that your wiring is solid?

Yessir. I hear clicking when I press the button for the rear passenger corner.

Accuair told me that the valve did have a problem when I sent it in, so I'm not too sure what else the issue could be :/

Did you switch the airline from left to right?
Does the error move onto the other side?

If you here the valve clicking, can you unplug the line from the
bag and check if air is delievered to the it?

I concur with the above. Let's try and swap lines #3 and #4 and see if the problem switches sides.

Also, AccuAir has absolutely excellent technical support. It might be worth getting in touch with their phone support directly if the problem is indeed that same valve sticking again.

I had the same problem with my last car, it would stick and I thought the valves were re-buildable like the older ones, but not anymore. Cleaned it up and it was good after that however.

Turns out it was the wiring from the VU4 to my AVS switches. Just had to reconnect them, since they had come loose.

Glad it turned out to be an easy fix.

Thanks Sam. I'll tape the connections up to make sure it doesn't come apart again
