E46 Coupe HELP..

I turn 21 in augest and plan to buy a e46 coupe... i would buy it now but cant insure it until im 21..

thinking of starting to buy all my parts now.

i need help on what coilovers to buy? (without costing loads) i dont care about how they feel or handle, i just want them to be as low as possible...

i also need help with offsetts etc.. how wide and in what offsets would you guys recommend if i want
in and around flush at the front,
with slight poke out back...

ohh and if im running 17's is there much point in the mtec kit?? or will the front splitters be to low?

no one can tell you how to build your car, and doing this requires alot of research on your part to know what fits, what may fit with work and what just doesnt fit... there is no formula to creating your own piece of rolling heaven... depending on how low you are going the m-tec may or may not be too much... but it also depends on roads, drop, tire size... there are so many factors... if it were easy everyone would drive a custom car.

I would suggest you do alot of research, search around on the forums for people that have posted their E46... read the threads for info as to how their car is set up, and then ask any questions you may have.

I am running 17x8.5 et.13 on full dropped racelands with the tension/helper springs still in the front and the adjusters still in the rear. rolled rears and will be putting 10 mil. spacers on the front and I will be measuring for the rear after i get an alignment.

would you personally recommend the racelands? do they go low enough for you personally? have you a build thread on here?

racelands go low enough to put the front of my skirts an inch and a half off the ground... go to the stanceworks showroom and find the thread "dirty3thirty and wreks rado" you will see some pics of my car on 17's and racelands.

my cars pretty low on racelands..let me get some pics for you...and im not recomending them nor saying not to buy them but if you have the $$ to but 1000+ coilovers then by all means do it..i havent had 1 problem yet with my coil overs and its been a while..anyway here are some pics




i can still go lower in the front if i remove the helper springs...running some 17x8s all around et10r et15f with shaved/cut fenders tucking rim out back.

@ bmw323, my last car had racelands, wound down full all round and i had no problem in the year i drove it.. so racelands get my vote.. just not to sure how low they go on a e46.. but by the looks of both urs and luckyboys they rock..... thanks for the help.

think im gonna look at 17x8+9 nd have slight kamber at the back.. just needa sort my offsets and pick my wheels of course.

If you are looking for a better set of coils that still go very low, look into B&G RS2s. I have them on my car and love them. They are height and dampening adjustable.

And if your going to get staggered 17's i would try to find 17x8.5/9 fronts and 17x10 rears. The wider the better

well I have ZCP style 19s and I have ksport...good stuff man..and wont break the bank. I just lack wheel spacers to finalize the look...
