  • Compressor not hitting cutoff

My compressor lately has been having a hard time getting to the cutoff pressure. I have a fixed pressure switch at 140psi and a Viair 444c. It gets to around 130-135 psi and just keeps running, like it won't go all the way to 140psi. Is my compressor dying? It doesn't loose pressure over night. There are no tank leaks or anything.

Bump. It's slowly stopping at lower and lower pressures. It's now closer to 125 that it stops. Compressor keeps running, but tank won't go any higher.

It sounds like your compressor is going out. How long have you had the compressor on the vehicle? Over time they wear out, especially those 444c. I would suggest ordering up a Viair 400c
