I would image you can probably run some water over it to clean it at this point but I wouldn't physically touch it until you absolutely know that your clear has cured all the way. (which it may have already..)

I'm absolutely not an expert though so don't trust me.

You can wash it all you want. Just stay away from wax for a while.

        What this guy said.

I'd wait about 2 weeks before waxing it to let all of the solvents evaporate.

Or, ask the people who painted your car what the Paint Manufactures recommendations are when it comes to waxing after painting.

Washing it is perfectly fine, as a painter that sprays du pont daily they recommend not to wax for at least a month. It takes a surprisingly long time for the solvents to come out and the wax will clog the pores in the paint and you'll have some issues. If its already been cut and buffed and your just trying to keep it clean there's nothing wrong with a good hand polish after a wash as long as there's no wax in it (obviously).

I personally would not polish it. Just give it a rinse for the next month or so if its not too bad. If you feel that it needs to be washed, a good 2 bucket wash with high quality mitts will suffice.

Just had mine re-sprayed. Washed it about 3 times since. Just stay away from any sort of polish/wax for about 3-4 weeks and you should be good.

A non wax polish is fine guys, when you buff out fresh paint you start with rubbing compound and finish with polish right? And that's done when the paint is only a couple hours old let alone days or weeks. Stay away from wax basically anything else is fine. The paint is strong it just needs some time to breath. And if its just been done unless you park it under a tree or a bird dumps on it there's no reason you'd need to do anything other than a rinse and dry. I try to tell people the best way to keep a fresh paint job looking nice is to keep away from it a hands off approach is usually better than a constant wash and wax.

Finding a suitable place with minimal dust, good lighting and ventilation to perform the work is necessary. Prepare all the materials to be used to avoid chaos and problems while doing the job. Car painting is a touchy job that should go a few screen tests.
