Hey everybody!
We're new members here, but long time members of both bimmerfourms and e46 fanatics.
This is a follow up thread from our detailing thread last summer, as that’s a little dated now. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1834368
A little about us: We started out detailing our own cars a few years ago, but with a true passion for cleaning and an excess of supplies, we decided to make a small side business out of it at very affordable prices. We only use quality products like the Porter Cable 7424XP, Lake Country Pads, XMT, Meguiars, Mothers, 3M, Menzerna, Pinnacle, Chemical Guys, 303, Griots Garage, Dodo Juice and Wolfgang, to name a few.
Location: We are located in the East Bay Area and typically take two full days to work on cars. It’s much preferred if you bring the cars to us, but we can occasionally accommodate mobile detailing provided adequate work area (usually a clear garage is more than enough) and compensation for travel. For mobile detailing we aim to start early and finish late we attempt to get the vehicle done in one day, depending on its size.
Pricing: Pricing varies from vehicle to vehicle, depending on the size and whether the owner wants a full, exterior or interior detail. To avoid over generalizations we will give you an exact price upon contacting us. However, our pricing is very, very competitive (borderline sweat shop level!) and we promise to give you a good deal! Group discounts also available if you bring multiple cars or refer friends.
Contact: Feel Free to PM me or Johal E32 here, e-mail me at arjjohal@gmail.com (I check it pretty frequently), call/text me at (510) 206-3565 (my name is Arjun) or Johal E32 (his name is Jordan) at(510) 323-5982.
The Process: Like we said earlier, the full detail usually takes 1-2 days of intensive work, usually around 10-12 hours are spent on each car. Our typical process is something like this:
Exterior:
Wash
Clay Bar
Wash
Compound with Porter Cable buffer
Heavy Polish with Porter Cable buffer
Light Polish with Porter Cable buffer
Sealent (by hand)
2 coats of wax (by hand)
Wheels cleaned / Tires cleaned and dressed
Exhaust tips cleaned and polished
Glass cleaning
Doorjambs cleaned
Engine & Trunk jambs
Engine bay cleaned and degreased
Interior:
Scrub down the carpet (by hand)
Clean seats
Conditioner on seats
Wipe down everything and vacuum
Clean glass/windows
Availability: We’re pretty much available all the time. We will probably be doing this through the end of summer (end of August, with a couple of jobs in September). Weekends are starting to get booked up, but weekdays are still free and much preferred to bring your cars in. There is a BART station about 10-15 minutes away from where we work, so if you need a ride there please don’t hesitate to ask and we will happily drive you.
Now onto the pictures so you can see some of our work! Hopefully we’ll be in contact soon! (There are many more pictures in the previous thread also, if you are looking for more).
Pictures of supplies and various cars, mostly before and afters but a few just afters (there are a lot more pictures in the old thread too, trying to avoid a huge photo dump here):
