Hi Guys ~ we're in final stages of tooling up for our forged line and we're looking for 4 cars that we can debut our new single piece concave forged line on. This offer is to Stancework's members exclusively. We will pass on some killer pricing and you'll have the chance to rock some wheels which NO ONE else in the world has. We are making concave forged versions of both our BLQ and MIA as well as 2 new designs.

If anyone's interested please email me directly at brian@rotiform.com

They will be custom built 100% to your specs and size (between 19-24") any width and any ET.

We'll have renderings, etc in a couple weeks for the 4 guys we choose to be able to approve before we cut your wheels.

The forged BLQ will have the exact same face design as our cast BLQ it will just be in a concave profile. The wider and lower offset the more concave we can do.

The forged MIA will have the same face design only without a lip. The spokes will extend all the way to the edge of the wheel similar to the BLQ.

The 2 new designs are a 5 spoke and a multi-straight-spoke motorsports inspired wheel. Both being concave.

I agree - I dislike 19s for unsprung weight, and my car is already underpowered - but those mesh wheels are just bonkers!!

Personally, I would try to differentiate these from your original BLQ's a bit more, I think there needs to be more of a pronounced convavity to the wheels.

Concavity is all width and offset based. This particular set is 20x9 et30 and is going on a bagged car that needs to tuck them. Now in a 10"+ wide we can get some serious dish going on! :cool

We'll be able to do 18" forged stuff here shortly. The cast 18" will be sometime down the line.

tivs31
03-11-2010, 03:58 PM
So your saying that with about 3 1/3" you can't get a descent amount of concavity?

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4065/4425872586_558573a903_o.jpg

I think even taking that lip that I described as 1" above and take the cutting down another 1/2" from the outside edge of the wheel to the center of the wheel would help give the wheel alot more personality. Even a straight cut from edge to center, but a slight radius would help make it even sicker.

I'm just really pulling hairs because I do like the wheel design, but in order to pull a premium on the price for a forged wheel, I do think the designs need to be drastically different that the cast version of the wheel.

Sorry I didn't realize which side of the wheel was the face, the right side is the face right?

in which case it would be sick, but the only cars that those will fit on starts with an N and ends with an N....

I still think something with a 19x9 et 30 should have a tad more agressive concavity.

Brian@Rotiform
03-11-2010, 04:29 PM
The right side is the face.

Some of your ideas are nice but unfortunately wouldn't work within strict production requirements and tooling specifications.

Also our goal with this wheel was to maintain the distinctive features such as the drop PCD area of the cast BLQ as we have a lot of requests for the BLQ in 20" so that's what we've tackled first. We'll be releasing several other designs over the coming weeks. :cool

As for the above we have 2 sets in the pipeline using that forging. A new M3 and a GT3RS and neither start or end in N :rofl
