  • Help on a bmw 97 E18i

im not new to building cars how ever I am new to this thread adn new to BMWs I am in the process of re building my girlfriends 97' E18 and i have gotten pretty much screwed over from the last shop i went to, and i was told i need a new engine for it from many sources and got charged a grand of work for nothing. so id figure id do it my self and save the money. and well here i am stuck haha and dont know what to do. i pulled the motor apart and everything was fine exept 2 pistons they had sever head damage to them including the block it self so i was wondering if it would be cheaper to but a new motor VS. just replacing the pistons and re-bore the block? thanks in advanced!

    1997 E18? They don't make an E18. Especially a 1997. You mean E38?

Looking at the tread title, did you mean 318i?
