Dudes, i like in Virginia Beach. the roads in the 757 are horrible. the interstate has these huge expansion joins that swell all year long, and they take their sweet ass time fixing them. i mean some are so huge theyre like little speed bumps across the HWY.
I kow you guys in NOVA know what im talkin gabout, particularly you cats in DC.

My question is, are you guys DDing on these slammed, poked out stanced cars?

Im not that low, and on 18s, but sometimes i feel like, OMG, that mustve broke something when i hit these bumps. I know one member, this guys (http://www.stanceworks.com/canibeat/?p=4969), is hella slammed and stanced, but i don think he drives it around these crap roads daily. Potholes are not so bad, because i generally know where they are and can dodge em pretty well, but the damn speedbumps man.... fakk, this is why my username is "scared of stance"

I mean seriously, how do you guys do it?
who does has a DD stanceworks in this region, where are you, how do you manage?

Im from Pa. We have pot holes every 2 feet, seriously. Avoid pot holes, hit speed bulbs at angles, and try to avoid steep inclines. Thats about it.

i was down in virginia beach for two weeks with my car. you develop a keen eye for dodgery. and you have to accept that shit will break if youre not careful, though 64 was just annoying as hell, hahaha

i just had to replace my swaybar, tension rods, tension rod brackets, oil pan and engine cross member a month or so ago after i hit a manhole cover in fredericksburg.

meh, its really not that bad though. it can get annoying but thats normally it.

my moneys put into my car to prepare for track days. that doesnt mean you can be sitting proper.

what kind of car do you have.

see avatar.
thats where my money goes, cars lean the wrong way, and German car parts arent cheap :(

im gonna drop the back another 1/2" with these new springs and go extra wide out back, i'll experiment with some spacers and see whats up, once i get the fenders rolled this weekend. but the hella stretched tires and whatnot is not going to happen.

Damn, that sucks. At least highways are semi-driveable on. Nothing like that video. It sucks to roll hard haha. I just got new foglights with a hid kit last week, $120. Put them in and make the trip back to college today. When I stopped to get gas, I went to check out my fogs and they were hanging on by a wire with the glass broken and the hid bulbs were hanging out broken. Now I have to get all new foglights and replacement bulbs.

Im not even low yet. I just have a mk3 lip on my e36 and on lowering springs for now. Its maybe 3in of ground clearance in the front. When I put my coilovers on ill need to take lip off or else it be on the ground.

Driving my slammed Q45 just grew on me but i spend more time looking at the ground then the cars in front of me hahaha. And driving through DC is hell! I'm like the only person that drives the speed limit cause i'm looking for crazy shit that is about to pop out of the ground.

I'm right with you. The district roads are awful.

made some changes, what u guys think?

the 245 is very square on the 8.5" rim, and will be rubbing when turning under load i think.

pic 1. rear looking flush.
pic 2. flush front
pic 3. angled driveway, wheel pushed up. 245/40 ET28 front
pic 4. as u can see, my pinky wont even fit, with a slight turn on the wheel on a level driveway.

I recently picked up a new car that will be receiving a healthy dose of stance here in the very near future. Car is an '05 Mazdaspeed Miata and plans include Stance GR+ coilovers, 16"x9" +15 Miro's and some other proper shizzz.

But the car definitely isn't my daily. It gets driven maaayyyybe once a week at best, assuming the weather is nice. Actually, the car is currently parked until my new TB inlet hard pipe comes in, because I keep having problems with the factory rubber pipe blowing loose under hard driving. Putting the new piece on after it comes in this week though, and i'm going on a bigass Skyline Drive cruise this Sunday with a bunch of car buddies. Woot!

My daily is a '98 S10. It's a 2WD 4-cyl 5-speed, has 181k miles on it, mismatched body panels and is the SLOWEST thing I have ever driven. But it gets me where I need to go (work, gym, grocery store, etc etc) and I could care less what happens to it. Only paid $1,500 for it too :cool

But my last car WAS my daily, because i've only had the truck for about 4 months now. The car I just traded in was an '07 and had 75k on it. I refuse to whore out the mileage on my new car the way I did on my old car.

Oh, and i'm in Fauquier county by the way. However, I work in Prince William county (Manassas) and spend most of my free time in Spotsylvania county (Fredericksburg)

I grabbed a set of Eibach Pro coilovers. Looking FWD to putting them on and experimenting with some stretched tires and some spacers.
Might be tearing up the OEM Aero kit i scored depending on how low i drop it.

Im also trying to score another set of wimz for winter/crazy wheel color duties.

This is my current DD and I drive it to VAB on 64 with no isues, well except for rabbits running out of the woods. Hell I drove it to Florida with no issues.

It rides just fine I was in VA Beach all 4th July weekend driving around, it sucksed but I was careful. Went to Cars and Coffee with it. I did curb a wheel last friday avoiding a SUV that drove into my lane avoiding a accident in progress. No idea what that is going to cost on a 3pc Work Ryver wheel custom powdercoated. I hope less than $500.

yeah ive decided to drop to a 225/40 up front and maintain width and offset, and push the rears out another 3mm and drop from 255/35 to 245/40 for more stretch.
then mount coilovers for more low. only have 2 weeks leave tho, so we'll see if i have enough time to pull it off with everythign else i have to do.

I go to alot of the NoVa meets. I go to BK off 28 (Manassas) every Friday after work and I try to hit up the VA Rides meet (Fredericksburg) every Saturday night as well. I also go to Kingstowne (Alexandria/Springfield) on Monday nights every now and then when my work schedule allows it.

I believe I saw your car once @ the Wed night Five Guys meet back when those meets were still taking place.
