  • BMW M20 Head Question

So I blew a rocker arm this week and my rocker shaft is gnarred to shit from trying to pull it out and replace a rocker previously. I've decided it's time to remove the head, and replace the shaft. I know I have to get new head bolts and I want to make sure I have the right torque specs. IIRC its 30nm, then two stages of 90° angle torques.

Also does anyone know the pattern they need to be tightened down in? And is there anything else that I should do while I'm in there?

    Posted from my magic fingers.

Be sure to get the head checked for flatness too while it's off. Even if it hasn't blown a head gasket yet, I'm sure it will still have a few little areas that need addressing and now is the time to do it.
