No one likes our car on these boards. But seriously, all I've received back from this community is criticism. But that's ok, not everyone shares the same vision as me. Unless your posting up pics of an e30 bmw, don't expect to get any stellar feedback.

i agree with you guys, these don't get enough love, but it's probably because so few of them came with 5-speeds that people have always avoided them

I think the reason these don't get love is because they are already great cars and the only ones that get any sort of recognition are built by rich people who are internet famous.

You could probably buy two of these in great shape for what some of these guys spend into their square old BMW's.

I do love myself some IS's though.

True, but these cars are declining rapidly in value. When they first came out they were selling for over $30K brand new, now you'd be considered lucky to get $8K-$9K in excellent condition. They are a sort of hidden treasure in my eyes, 4 doors, 2jz, rwd and an aggressive look compared to it's other lexus counterparts. Lots of potential to be made with the IS...I'll be posting more pics up here as I make more progress.

The reason no one is busting a nut over yours is because there isn't anything spectacular or ground breaking happening. You're lowered on a "safe" set of wheels. You want nut swingers, push the limits.

If i had the money i'd buy one over a bmw any day. Over here they cost about the same as a good e46. Heard they are great fun to drive aswell!

The only thing i dont like are the small round tailights.

Lol I'm not crying, nor claiming my car is ground breaking. Interpret it how you will, it's doesn't take much time on S|W to realize most of guys on these boards are into the older euro cars, which is fine. I thought we were all here for the same reason.
