  • 540/6 - Some Mods. Excellent Condition. High Miles

    SOLD.

I came across an e38 that I would really love to pick up and in result I am going to try and move my car fast. I realize this is about $1500 more then the book value on these cars right now but once you read the list of maintenance on the car and learn a little bit about it you might find that its a better deal then its 150k $5,000 counterpart. First I'll start by saying that I was trying to sell this car last year with mparrs on it for $9500. This year I've only done more work to the car and can't say that I know of very many issues with it. This is the perfect car for someone who wants a nice modded e39 but doesn't have much cash. All it needs is a nice set of wheels and its ready to roll.

I know for 100% that I am forgetting a few things. The car was in a fender bender in NYC and was repaired without the replacement of any original panels. The rear bumper was replaced, and one taillight had to be replaced. The trunk was repaired but is still original. I've included the one photo I have from the body shop so you can see the quality of the paint work. I can also provide a few from the accident so any interested buyer could see the damage (along with a receipt of what was done to the rear – the car received a full re-spray on top of that). In my opinion, you will not find another example as clean as this 540 anywhere. I realize the mileage is high but for the work performed (all notorious issues these cars have been addressed) I don't think the $3,000 extra I am asking is much. It books in the $9,000 range in good condition on KBB. I consider this car to be excellent minus a little wear on the driver’s seat and a few hiccups.

    The bad:
    •Needs AC fan
•The undercarriage has some dings and dents from being low (nothing that affects driving, alignment, and nothing is bent in the suspension)
•My sister drove it over an island and scratched the bottom of the right rocker.
•Cruise control has some strange issue with disengaging (I can provide all parts needed to repair)

This is the most recent picture I have of the car. It was about a month ago before I took my winter wheels off:

More pics and a few interior shots. Sorry the weather has been terrible. When it improves I will take pics again and clean the car.

    Interior:

The Schmidts are NOT included in the sale of this car.

Always loved this car ever since I first saw it a few years ago after Andre put the VN lines on it, good luck with the sale for a super clean and well-taken care of car

          Hmm...

I love this thing so much. I drooled over it literally the whole cruise to Ben's show in CT last year, lol.

I still would need a bit after my Saab sells, but I'm gonna try to get this thing.
